    HIK Vision PoE Issues

Hi bud, thanks for the response, i actually thought i'd followed the T-568B but after looking again I haven't I'll change it over and hopefully this will sort it. Thanks Mike
  2. Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has any advice. I've started installing a HIKVision NVR system and i've got one camera up and running using the cat5 cable supplied 10m length, I've installed another camera but the run was approx 18m so used my own cat 6 cable, i've tested it and its terminated correctly however the NVR isn't picking up a picture. The cable i'm using is cat 6 UTP Solid Bare, Copper Conductor 24AWG and the connectors are just a standard Ebay job. My thoughts are the run is too long, when I use a shorter run its fine, however it should be capable of upto 70m cable dependant. Is it worth trying to buy some better connectors if so whats the preferred? Thanks Mike
  3. Hi, Hopefully you'll be able to help solve my problem. I've got a Swann DV3-1300 and i'm trying to link it to my Sky D-Link Router DSL-2640S. The router is Dynamic and it has UPnP enabled but i still can't get the router to pick the DVR up. According to the Swann manual as i've got a dynamic router with UPnP it pretty much sorts everything out. From looking at videos when i put the routers IP in the web browser it doesn't come up with a D-Link screen and i can't find half the tabs that the videos say to go on. If there's anyone local to Blackpool (FY5) and wouldn't mind helping me out. I can pay you for your time. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Mike
