Which System To Get?
SunnyKim replied to Notchman93's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
SunnyKim, I don't understand this statement. These two companies are buying counterfeits of their own cameras? These two have become already big. They do designs (research & developements) with several design houses, out side. They own legally their designs, but no longer carrying assembly line for most models so that they can get more profits. Local manufactures are running assembly line and supplying to them under OEM/ODM, leaking the copies to gray market. -
Which System To Get?
SunnyKim replied to Notchman93's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Nowdays most of IP cameras are using the two kinds of chipsets. To be specific, chipset from TI (USA) or HiSilicon(China). The video quality is determined by their SDKs. The quality parameters are finely tuned and stable. Therefore, we can say the video quality are on the same level, not much differentiable. IP Cameras from HikVision or Dahua are good and recommended a lot in this forum. But if you do not receive any Tech supports from them, why pay more??? There are many kinds counterfeits at much lower price. Some counterfeit makers are supplying their cameras to HikVision or Dahua. There are many other small suppliers, as well, who are confident to compete with a lot better Tech Supports. Any one recommended from your Local CCTV installers could be OK as long as you can get Tech Support when needed. -
Can you please inform me of the price range of DS-6404? I checked out amazon and aliexpress. It is way too expensive. Unreal???That's why I am asking.

If the cameras are all analog, either NTSC or PAL, your problem could be solved easily. Idea One : The distance, Max 120 meter, can not be an issue. You do not need any amplifier, or that kind. You may make a Signal Splitter(simply passive), T Splitter, One Input/ Two outputs for each camera output. Idea Two: Buy two DVRs, costing less than U$ 50 in total. Use its CVBS output to the input of another DVR for a remote monitor.

Video camera system recomendation needed
SunnyKim replied to Taterman's topic in General Digital Discussion
Thanks Sonny! I had no idea about the different types. Question though: What does the D1 stand for in your last example? Also, are those types equal or better in severe weather? I live in the Chicago area and we get hit hard with snow and wind. Sometimes the snow blows straight sideways or swirls up. Analog Cameras are Very Very Cheap and have been there, Tough & Rugged. If you buy a DVR with recording resolution D1 or 960H, the video quality is OK, not as bad as being trashed by peddlers of IP cameras. -
Video camera system recomendation needed
SunnyKim replied to Taterman's topic in General Digital Discussion
Remote Viewing video over internet and on smart phone is By Default. Letting alone analog camera and IP camera, there is another kind; HD video in analog fashion: It includes 3 types. Check out HD-CVI, HD-TVI, and HD-AHD. Their video resolution is better than the conventional analog camera system. The cost is as good as Analog system's. Say, 4Ch X 720P system can cost much less than U$300, including HDD and a standalone DVR. If you go for analog systems, say 4Ch X D1 or 960H, you can get it done around U$200, including HDD and a standalone DVR. -

I now got to know that You mean Mainstream for Live Spot Play. The cheapest solution that I can come up with: Let each DVR CVBS (TV) out. So you may have 4 CVBS analog outputs for 4 of your current DVRs. You may buy a 4 Ch analog DVR, costing less than U$30, then let it output the video to VGA or HDMI port for plugging to your TV or monitor. -

The thread had ended. You guys are rehashing it. Thanks, I was saved. Do not get lost. Be Boogieman all the way. -
I may recommend 4Ch X 720P HD-Analog system, costing you less than U$300, inclusive of HDD/HD-DVR.

I do not think any powerful PC software can playback 64 Ch Main Streams, yet. But it could be possible to play back 64 Ch SubStreams from each DVR. -
Real Player CPU usage ?
SunnyKim replied to Wizz's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Is "RealPlayer" playbacking two cameras or one camera (one at a time)? -
Video very choppy with iSpy
SunnyKim replied to zhill29's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
If this were the problem why would it work just fine through the web browser and not via the recording software? We are talking only 2 Cameras and Softwares of branded, somewhat. My only guess left is to blame camera settings that probably changed from the original default setting. -
There is another thread of today. Please read viewtopic.php?f=2&t=48877 I may recommend that HD Analog, specially 720P, has become very cheap and rugged. Why paying more for the trouble, 4MP cameras which are using the very same sensor of 720P cameras?
-
When you go for IP camera system, please read the today's thread viewtopic.php?f=12&t=47989. 4MP IP Cameras? Wow that may cause a lot compelxity to Playback/Saving. I may recommend 720P IP, if you are confident with IP system. You may go for HD-Analog systems (720P is good enough)-HD-AHD/HD-CVI/HD-TVI, for your home application.

You dont know what you are talking about. This is a network related issue. Thousands of other people dont have this issue. Why dont I have this problem? One post and sunnykim pops his china scammer head up out of the sand. Fool. Search this forum for thousands of problems with analog. Do you blame analog or the installer? We are not dumb here in america. You cannot scam us anymore. We have youtube!!!! We can see the difference between D1 and 4mp. Fool. Time to take some networking classes sunnykim. Go back to your china assembly line and keep making your D1 low resolution garbage that your company dumps on unsuspecting fools. His answer is simply to blame your network bandwidth, not to blame the system of IP Camera.

Boogieman dancing around in this forum could answer your problems. I do not understand why so many advocates IP cameras. Some keeps peddling 4MP cameras from HikVision. There are still problems with "3 IP Cameras with each less 3mbps and less 10 FPS".

SunnyKim replied to zhill29's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
No experiences wth these cameras, but I guess it is to blame camera setting. Check Out their default setting. Check out I Frame Interval and P Frame Interval are set correctly. Check out option for Rate Control. -
Need help with night time / low light etc. cam
SunnyKim replied to datastream's topic in Security Cameras
Well, The old camera that you like must be analog and its sensor could be old CCD. The CCD sensor is getting out of production/market as it can not compete against cheap CMOS based sensors. Keep using it till it dies away. Meanwhile hopefully CMOS HD cameras will find its improvement on its low light performance. The second choice could be using 720P HD Cameras, now very cheap. You must know that the CMOS sensors used for 720P camera are the very same sensor for 16 MP cameras. All of these are related to inferior low light performace of CMOS sensor. -
Within my limited knowledge, the HD-SDI format for the raw -video output from HD-SDI cameras is not in HDMI format. Both are different. You need a receiver to convert HD-SDI format into RGB video format then RGB to HDMI. It can be done by HD-SDI DVRs with HDMI output capable.

1.3MP is for 720P and 2.1 MP for 1080P. AHD 720P camera is the cheapest kind, but worth of good quality and price.

Good question !!. You better buy their claims.

So far we been installing HD-TVI systems here and got great results, in fact better than IP since there limitation (300ft max before adding another switch.) when it comes to cost to our clients. (Fiber expensive here). The farthest we ever run on UTP (CAT6e) was about 800 ft (244m) using HD-TVI Baluns and approx 900 ft (275m) on RG6. We know that HD-TVI is capable over 1300 feet, just trying to figure out if there are coaxial cables we can get without splicing, or has anyone ever tried splicing coaxial for HD-TVI? Thanks Good to know to hear success of HD-TVI in field Too bad to know there are some guys who keep peddling 4MP IP Cameras even for home applications or ministores. Google and Contact "TechPoint" and ask the company about choosing a good quality cable for a longer distance. The Techpoint develops chipset for HD-TVI. They should know !!!.
-
If nobody puts comments for a given time, you better prove HD-TVI system yourself. One camera, one DVR, and the max cable length(cable roll) would not cost you much.

The video information captured at analog camera is carried under the format of NTSC or PAL TV Signal. The TV Signal is limted up to about Max 3 Mega Hertz, very small. The OLD DVD/ VCR Player generates the same TV signal. You may have liked its visual quality. Even the information of 480 TVL can not be fully contained by 3Mhz bandwidth. In other words, I mean 480 TVL is good enough. 700 TVL could be better just because they are new and techwise, most likely, more advanced from 480 TVL. The 700 TVL could be cheaper than 480TVL. But we can not be sure always TRUE. So if you do not like the quality, you can return it. One thing for sure is that 720P-HDCVI/HDTVI/AHD cameras are better in theory, than new 960H analog camera, if the cable length is not that long, say 100 Meter.
-
If you bought it, then you use it till it dies. TVL indicates Horizontal Contrast, not vertical line number. As long as you like the video quality, you do not need to care about "TVL number".
