Lorex IP Cam Firmware Pics MCNB2151 5.0 Beta Raptor
evnldr replied to evnldr's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
It's the us version. Nope works fine with the NVR (So far) No I can't record in 3MP with NVR (That I seen so far) Smart IR Don't know I ran home on my break and did the update. Now I found out the cat6 I have is damn CCA. so I will rip it out and run solid core Cat5e till I can get some REAL cat6. Somthing about CCA and PoE dont sit well with me. I will save the CCA for regular networking. I dont know if this was the reason the cam was dropping or not but It has to go. -

Lorex 1080P NVR from Costco (NVR firmware Question)
evnldr replied to evnldr's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Ok, check that DHCP box and put the IP/MAC address in your router, just how you did with the cameras. Done, I also changed the port on my cams so I can remote in to them, So far so good. All I have to do now is flash cams to the 5.0. -

Im tired and all so maybe another thought will help... So Looks like I get an (Ip Camera dissconnect) and it switches from 192.168.1.192(D2) to lorex defalt IP.(D7)... Than it losses connection and reverts back to 192.168.1.192(D2) I sooo need a drink... images attached May be a bad cam... I can reboot all... but the one when I reboot the problem cam it reverts to old IP of dvr... Ugggg -
Lorex 1080P NVR from Costco (NVR firmware Question)
evnldr replied to evnldr's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Somebody went and deleted some stuff on my PC that SADP needed. Reinstalled it and back to normal. So set static leases to the cams MAC Id and left lease time blank so it never expires.. And set them to dhcp. We will see how long this last. -

Lorex 1080P NVR from Costco (NVR firmware Question)
evnldr replied to evnldr's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Got it working I was reluctant to hook a cat6 to the Switch to the POE port of the NVR. But all works. Thanks. Maybe later I upgrade firmware on the cams to unlock the 3MP And still waiting on a fix for the NVR firmware flash to be able to use the 3MP cams. -
Lorex 1080P NVR from Costco (NVR firmware Question)
evnldr replied to evnldr's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
How did you get the cams with the local lan IP octet Ex: 192.168.1.xxx All I changed the ip cams IP address via the Hikvision software but they return to old IP once hooked to NVR logging in to the cameras themselves opens so many features. When they are plugged in to the NVR I cannot access the cam itself. I have to hook them into the router and power them locally Do I have to enable DHCP on the cams themselves? and on my version I can add more than the lorex cameras protocol for axis, onif, Panasonic.pelco, psia, samsung, sanyo, zavio, arecont see attached, The entire reason for this whole firmware issue was so I can: Log in to the camera while it is hooked and getting power from the NVR. There is so many options that the NVR firmware locks out. So if I can find a way to have the cam hooked to the NVR and be able to change the cam settings like Night, day and auto. And the noise filters ect. Than i will be good for now. Thanks. Jason -

Local network 192.168.1.107 (nrv address) shouldn't the cams be 192.168.1.xxx I'm new to nvr's bur id think they would need to be on same network. -

Been looking most of the talk here I have seen has been DVR. Is it better to do a NVR $550 240FPS and 5MP Res record. Or Build a PC NVR and run something like Blue Iris. Pc will cost $350. I just don't know what to do. Only have 5, 2MP cameras atm. Thanks.

Well, I have a dvr card hv4000 everfocus cams, works ok only deal is.. the send pic via email don't work. I was looking for a simple 4ch stand alone dvr, I have plenty of hdd's. Seen some on the bay of e for 70$ with no hdd. All I want is to record motion and send me a pic of said event. not worried about remote view. even a good cap card with good software would be ok.. just want to protect my home. Had a usb card and well it died. DVR3104 ? Located in DE. Thanks. Jason -

I don't need 4 real time recording. I will only watch one cam if that at a time. and i only want to record 10 sec before and after any motion. cameras are outside cams and there is not much motion. Dahua kinda look ok? I would even entertain a used one if the price was right. funds are low. just spent 100 for current system. any issue with this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-Channel-H-264-Surveillance-Security-Network-Driver-Digital-Video-Recorder-DVR-/120972705500?pt=US_Surveillance_Digital_Video_Recorders_Cards&hash=item1c2a88fedc other than ebay
