Ok but in IP cameras you can get 3mp and 5 Mp cctv cameras why is hd sdi cameras only go to 2Mp ?

Got my new CCTV System installed today Cameras SPSDD21/2812R HD-SDI dome 2.8-12MMand a VTSDDVR08G 8CH 1200TV Line DVR pictures are great during the day but the night time pics look funny they seem to have a mist or fog over them what do you guys think off the system and more importantly what do yous think is causing the mist/fog on the cameras?

Ok so what do i do ? are all dome cameras the same ?

the cameras are fine then the dome is taken off they tried turning them away from the house and no good just the same

Have any of yous herd of the cameras are they any good? what will solve the problem?

The camera is a Huviron SK-V251IR D /HD21 when they where putting the camera up the pictures was ok when the dome when on they went funny thow the second pic down seems really bad looks out of focus whats the Huviron SK-V251IR D /HD21 like are they good ??

Got the cameras changed there was no condensation in any off them just got the cameras changed again to another camera in a glass dome and they are more or less the same ok we have no external lighting have any of you guys stills taken from hd cameras at night with no external lighting ?

If it supports ONVIF profile S it should work but why would you want to? Also your questions are to broad. What make NVR are you looking at? Well i dont know anything about cctv i just want a good system with in my budget

Can i use an Avigilon camera with a different make nvr?

I need 4 cameras and an 8 channel recorder currently i view them on a monitor connected to my dvr i also have software pSS on my home computer where i can view look back at recordings and download a copy if need be as long as the camera is good at night thats my main option

Its four out door cameras two cameras would be looking 30 feet one 40 foot and the fourth 60 feet
