    Camera Misting

Hi, I have installed 3 cameras, 1 inside, 2 outside. The 2 outside cameras started to get condensation on the inside of the case within a couple of hours which is still there 4 days later. Why is this happening, is it common? How do i stop it? Is it because they have gone from warm (inside) to cold (outside)? Cheers Jamie.

    remote viewing setup problems

Thanks guys. I have got it working on remote view over the network, and on a laptop through the net (using my NO - IP account) but when i go home and try it it wont work, but when i put in the IP or no ip address into internet explorer it comes up with a page not found, not the router login page as it should. Do you think the router goes into standby when not used, or maybe the broadband standby??? Somethings not right. as i say when i'm there i can get it on laptop. Its only when its left for a bit. I have a netgear router and BT Broadband. It it is any way to stop it doing this? Cheers Jamie.

    remote viewing setup problems

Hi all, I have just set up my system, (GV 650) and all is going great - apart from an annoying beeping from the card which i think i know how to solve thanks to the search (reduce the amount of cameras its expecting to see) I have just tried to set up the remote viewing and hit a brick wall!!! I have installed the software and the remote software, but when setting it up its asking for IP addresses and lots of other information that's slightly confused me. what IP address is it, a IP of some web hosting to store the video??? I have a DSL router i wish to go through. How do i set up the settings, or obtain the IP address. Then how would i log into it?? What username and password is it asking for in the remote settings - my geovision one, web space server one, or my internet service provider username & pass? Please help, im baffled!! Thank You Jamie
  7. I have gone for the Geovision 650 card. Though it was about mid level and would do us. The 800 was to expensive. Thanks for your help, just got to set it all up now any tips?
  8. thanks, Why a GV800-4 and not the GV250? There is a big price difference whats the difference in performance?
  9. Hello all, I have been asked to install a basic camera system for a local youth club. We are in the UK and have a bugit of about £1000. We want 2 cameras outside and 1 inside. During the night its quite dark, and we wish to use IR to let the cameras see. We want to put the cameras into a PC via DVR card, and also to have the option to view the cameras remotely incase the alarm sounds etc (auto dialer alarm) I have been looking at DVR cards and am getting lost as there are so many about. Geo vision look like the better cards but which one for this type of application, they vary in price from £80 to well over £1000. Whats the big difference, just the amount of cameras they support? is 25FPS enough? Also would it be better to get a separate hard drive in the PC to record the images? Any advice would be really appreciated as we are a bit stuck. Cheers Jamie
