Yeah, as long as they're the same jack size as what's on the camera. A lot of cameras come with those same ones and I've also bought similar ones before when cameras were missing them.

They could be wireless cameras each with a little receiver by the dvr or they could be standard analog cameras with wireless transmitters going back to a 4 input receiver. Be careful with 2.4ghz because alot of stuff works in that frequency including wifi. Is it possible to find what you want in 5.8ghz or can you go standard wired?

I wouldn't worry about that length so much as long as its proper 18 awg power conductors. That power supply however is a little chinsy. Try running just the front camera on it and see what happens You'd be better off with a bigger power supply

Are you sure there is no reset button. Sometimes they are just small pinholes that you need to stick a paperclip into.

If you had them installed professionally, you should have them come and look. Are they ir night vision cameras? Are they installed outside or are they viewing through glass windows ?

You can really do it however works for you but it depends on how you wanna run it. Will it be a side business? I do my business on a side, I typically get my equipment through my account at ADI as well as through a couple if other supply houses. ADI offers a nice catalog without prices, so if a customer wants to see it, I can offer it. I get some stuff online if needed, usually just smaller incidentals such as switches, accessories and what not. Reselling stuff that you bought from an online retailer can be tough because if you're paying full price, there may be no room for markup. Also you wanna make sure that you're supported by your supplier. I like ADI because if the support. If something fails, I can get it swapped out fairly easy. Be aware that with some online sources, this may not be the case. I sometimes find stuff cheaper online and if they are an authorized seller, I can take that price to ADI and they match it for me. Just a couple of thoughts, Maybe your pc and dvr were accidentally set to the same IP address. Or maybe you were trying to connect to the dvr through its ddns URL and the router doesn't support NAT Loopback. What steps did you take in trying to connect.

VideoInsight is also very good. You can get it preinstalled on a PC also if needed.

There will be a big difference between 800tvl analog and high def MP IP cameras. Cat 5e cabling would definitely be used if you go with ip cams and its possible to use with analogs such as your 800tvl cams but many time it's cheap baluns on the analog setup that hurts the picture quality. Another note: Your trying to use the IR lighting through windows to view outside at night? It's not gonna work right. For one thing, it's possible to get reflection back from the ir light and basically blind your camera. Beside that, if you don't get the reflection back, your still not gonna see through the window well. Stand in your kitchen at night with the light on in the room. What do you see out the window? Nothing right?turn off the light so the room is dark, now you can see outside. It's the same way for the camera with the ir light on.
