    Please Help IR Halo issue

I have found an infra red blocking filter on Ebay. Seems to have good feedback. Dont know if this will work or not, but Im thinking of giving it a try http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-25-IR-Filter-infra-red-blocking-filter-CCD-cams-/160889649908?pt=UK_Telescope_Eyepieces&hash=item2575c53af4

    Please Help IR Halo issue

Definitely the location, I have a really large window one side & a screen for a Spa made of corrugated iron the other side, so it probably a gauntlet of IR Light. Still I need the camera in this spot, so I may have to suffer with it..I have been keeping an eye out for a texta lid or something I could use to trial this...Has anyone tried window tint or even the mirrored film? Seems to be a common problem, I would have thought the market for something like this would be there.

    IR Vs Light Sensor

The cameras are not that far from the tablet really..2 at the front are roughly only 10 meters away & I have one at the side of the house which is the closest where the tablet usually lives at 3 to 4 meters away. Also, the signal bars for all the cameras on the tablet indicate full strength most of the time. Just as I am typing this a car flew past the front and froze in the middle of the screen for a second and re appeared at the end of the screen. I think your onto something with the Wireless traffic...this house runs 4 wireless laptops almost continiously, also a phone, iphones, Ipad...god knows what else the kids use! Thanks for you help again mate, Ive logged into the modem, I will do a bit of research and report back. (UPDATE) Channel Selection was already set to automatic chanel 1 Unfortunatley, its not a Dual band router... so its running 2.4G Hz same as cameras was hoping for this easy fix...shoulda known thanks anyway Kawboy worth a try

    Please Help IR Halo issue

This is driving me absoulutely mad. I have a camera I want to set up under the eve of my shed overlooking the backyard...it is limited where I can mount it, as I need to mount the corner of the shed to capture the house. Id rather place it under the shelter than on top of the roof also. (I know its hard without pictures, but I am still working that out!) No matter where I put the camera out the back,..in this area.. I get a fog around the image & a donut glow in the middle. I thought it was a faulty camera, so I exchanged cameras from out the front which are perfect and I still get the same effect. I have tried moving it away from objects under the eves and pointed it away from windows etc Ive even tried using a black blanket to try and pinpoint where the reflection is coming from with no results. Is there a way to actually pinpoint the problem? Ive been trying to research the halo effect, but dont seem to see alot of circle donut shaped issues like mine, i.e fog around the image & a donut glow in the middle. wonder if that could help indicate the issue? The donut shaped plastic that blocks the IR on these units seem to be good as they pretrude out of the glass, so I know its reflecting back into the lense from an object, not inside the housing. I dont really want to have a seperate IR Id really like some ideas on solving the problem of determining how to pinpoint the source of the problem...and actions that can be taken. Im thinking of installing a senser light at the back, but its not the ideal solution, I might aswell disable the IR Im using..Uniden Guardian 2720 all outdoor Cameras http://www.uniden.com.au/australia/p_g2720_index.asp Any thoughts? help appreciated

    IR Vs Light Sensor

Sorry for being so vague. Im not sure what the technical term is..I thought it was lag..but if a person is in view of the camera it can kind of freeze up for a second or two and sometimes to the extent they can disapear from view,..thats the worst case..Moving trees sometimes dont appear to be an even natural flow when they are in the wind..is this normal? The setup I purchased is the Uniden Guardian 2720...For the price and my needs it looked like a good cheaper alternative, but I dont know anything about this stuff, (painfully obvious) Wireless Indicators for the cameras are on the tablet. I just downloaded and installed the latest firmware, no joy.

Thanks for the ideas Kawboy Ive since worked out its caused from Lag... But Im unsure why this happens, as the Wireless indicators are on full strength?? Any ideas at all appreciated

    IR Vs Light Sensor

So Ive set up 2 cameras with IR leds and Ive also setup a 2 spotlight motion sensor. When the motion lights activate, it looks like a nuke has went off, and takes awhile for the cameras to adjust....even though its not really that long, I live in the city and the gate to the door in only a few steps, so it doesnt give the cameras long to adjust Know Any tricks to combat this? Also, would the sudden flashes of strong light damage the IR leds overtime? they are not pointed directty at the cameras!

    Greetings

Hi all, HAPPY NEW YEAR! Just purchased a Uniden Guardian 2720, not sure if I did the right thing, bit of an impulse buyer. Seems to do the trick for what I wanted & price range, but Im a little disapointed that you cannot watch it on TV, thought I could just use an AV reciever but people are telling me you cant cause it has to be able to plug into a transmitter also, which kinda sux. Anyway, I will look around here & see if I can seek knowledge if thats possible Cheers, Steve
