Nope. Keep the cables at least 1 foot away from high voltage.

Looks like you have a really big hard on for me, troll.

This is/was the latest one for the iOS http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/idmss-t/id486739396?mt=8 Do you have the link to the HD one? That one apparently is for the iPad only? Anyway they said there is a new one coming out with playback like the gDMSS. Probably end of this month or beginning of next. Reason its pixelated now is because its connecting in extra stream. Although I noticed its even more pixelated than on a PC in extra stream.

Standalone LPR software?
rory replied to Soundy's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
It wont work with your Geovision card, at least not using GeoVision's drivers. You would need to totally get rid of Geo and its drivers and install BT drivers, but even then if you are lucky enough to have a card that will work with those (not a Combo card for example), it will still only work with 1 channel at a time (normally). You would be best buying a capture card specifically for LPR, GeoVision will be one of the hardest to get to work outside of the GeoVision software. -

rory replied to spe99's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
First make sure you are using the latest version of iDMSS which is iDMSS-T 2.5 (for test, prior to the new one coming out soon). This is for iOS 3.12+. The previous one was 2.1 and was for iOS 3.0+ -
I can look at the sun and tell you what time it is, how's that?

I understand not being able to drag it around (lots of extra code involved) but should be at least able to set which channel goes where in a global setting such as the INI file. Things software developers do or dont do, just dont make sense sometimes.

Only use IR if you absolutely need to. If they have light some low light cameras or TDN cameras without IR would suffice, and would draw less current. You can use regular color cameras but if they do not have low lux rating then you will need alot of visible light. Camera brands to look at for residential are CNB, KT&C, etc. There are obviously cheaper less known brands as well but you cannot always be sure of the quality or availability - sometimes you can luck out with them though. The type of camera will really depend on each camera location and the needs of the client. Dahua DVRs are a decent less expensive brand of DVR loaded with features, they are rebranded under various names in the US and UK.

No idea about the missing posts, but CMOS CCTV cameras are typically a poor image, plus low light is normally not good. Best to stay clear of them. Most will be found in ultra cheap cameras, sold as the manufacturers cheapest option. There are some exceptions but that would be very expensive ones, and IP cameras.
