  1. normally you can get the path from the browser app .. i checked the source of a demo for it this is based on: http://www.sanyo.de/products/CCTV/livedemo.asp?lg=E They say this: One network interface for the whole SANYO IP line-up - dual codec H.264/JPEG This is the main start pages for login: /cgi-bin/lang.cgi But this is the main page with the video /cgi-bin/main.cgi?lang=eng maybe able to leave out the ?lang=eng, might have to put the IP before it. The activeX is this path: ../plugin_3_3_1_4.cab#version=3,3,1,4 The URL for Image File and Server Push is this: liveimg.cgi?serverpush=1&jpeg=1&stream=1
  2. test the camera at the camera ... power it locally .. or take it down and bench test it, not using the DVR and use a regular 12VDC power supply, perhaps 1 or 2 amps - simulate darkness for the IR to come on or cover the photocell. Try another camera if it still persists.
  3. They must be, the plaza where 123 is located is the same one in the SV's demo videos. Probably just 2 different locations but the same owner/s, different management etc.? Yeah no problems like I said any different than distributors ive used in the past. Such as a backordered item was not told it was backordered or had to be special ordered until we contacted them when it was taking time, but had that only once and had that before with other places. I did get 2 versions of the same CNB camera, one probably from older stock, but nothing to hurt my head over as the newer version was not even the one in the user manual on the CNB's site. Ive had several clients order from them recently and all were fine. One thing i noticed but this can be found on many of the stores online as they advertise so much stock, some of the products have incorrect information or pricing, but thats why I generally would email them first for a quote and to verify the part numbers and types.

    8.3.4 Cards and Issues

2 issues I am having with a new GV-1120-16 card, comes with 8.3.4 software. 1-In playback after a couple seconds of a 2 or 3 minute clip, the video will stutter a little bit, almost like it was trying to do pre and post recording, but its not, or at least it should not at the intervals it is doing it. The video plays back, but you can actually see the time frames slow down or stop as the video also stutters a little, then they speed up again. Basically I havent seen this happen in all the other Geo's ive set up over the past couple years. Live video is fine, playing the raw AVI seems to be fine also, but I need to do more testing on that. 2-Remote video has black thicker border on left side. Seen this before with Sony HQ1 and Panasonic ccds. But in this case it is a Sony Superhad. Also a DVR I setup a month ago, another 8.3.4, had the same on all 16 cameras which were all different types, mostly Sony Superhads. With that one I didnt notice the stuttering issue as above. I first used another motherboard, I could not use the PCI-E x1 as it went over the memory, so I used the PCI-e x16 but had these issues so I decided to sell that board and buy this new one that which has the PCI-e x1 in the right spot. I think I used 8.3.3 with that first one, though the DVR card came with 8.3.4. Im not 100% sure though. Anyway I used 8.3.4 with this new one, and still getting the same issue. So my next step is to try 8.3.3. If same issue occurs with the stuttering, then I may try 8.1.2 if it would work with the 8.3.3 or 8.3.4 drivers. I know that the 8.1.2 drivers dont work with this card, already tested that. I dont need any of the new features in 8.3.xx btw, i just need a card that works, as all the 8.1.2 ones I have out in the field do. Plus the 8.1.2 software is much faster in general. If none of that works, another thing I might look at is the OS and setup. This is tweaked the same way I have always done them in the past, but In this case I will then just format and load a full untweaked XP Pro on and try it with that. This motherboard by the way has an Nvidia chipset, the previous one had an Intel Chipset though. Both had the same issues. This motherboard actually has video memory built in of 512MB. There is one thing though it has a buffer for that as well, I might try disabling it instead. However I used this same identical Nvidia board before with an older GV-1120 card using 8.1.2 and it was fine. Something else I was going to look at was the power supply, it came in the Qpack2 Cube case, it is 500watt but really crappy. Not sure if that could be causing this issue though, But I might try a different one anyway if all else fails. The DVR card does connect to the power supply afterall. The system itself responds very fast, Intel 2.7 Dual core, 2GB memory, Geo is using approx 600mb, other memory being used is only around 90mb, so there is much left over, plus a large page file. Ive used much slower PCs in the past without this issue. Hard drive test came up okay, max speed around 100. Outside of the issues within Geo, overall its very fast and stable. There was one other thing that did alarm me a little but could be expected, I left it on for a few hours without AC on and the room got very hot, well over 100 degrees fahrenheit, CPU was around 51 celcius. But I can disable the BIOS CPU fan control and just let it blow full speed, as the BIOS had it down half speed, can work that out with better fans etc also, but the issues I had were actually when the AC was on and it was around 35-40 celcius anyway. Any other ideas are welcomed, otherwise I will report back with my findings

    8.3.4 Cards and Issues

Yeah it was just so strange as I ran all kinds of tests on the HDD, but I didnt do any really long tests though. It seemed fine using the OS and other apps, nothing noticable at all, not even loud. The cost is higher here due to more expensive shipping and then customs duty.

    SOMETHING WRONG HERE !!!!.PLEASE READ

1-Welcome to the forum 2-Keeping it short and to the point helps 3-Not many [here] use Honeywell DVRs 4-Your thread was started at the beginning of the weekend, some that know the answer may not get back to it until during the week. We cant tell you how to reset something If we never used it or cant even get the manual. Honeywell (AKA Ademco Video) is one of those companies that think the have the best gear in the world and that they can charge out the backside for it, and only sell to a select few - ironically many without much Internet presence. If you notice on well known distributor and retailer sites you will find panasonic and tons of others, but not Honeywell - this alone shows you that there is not going to be a great chance of support for their products outside of the manufacturer themselves, at least definitely not much on an online forum such as this. That may be a plus for some who like to keep their clients from knowing too much, or another way to make extra money, but whatever the reason they are just not that common. Bottom line, we may read a post but that does not mean we can help, or as mentioned have the time to type out a reply - right now I just stopped in for a break and have to go back out in the hot tropical summer sun, and ive had 3 hours sleep and was working all weekend day and night outside on camera jobs - so this is, well just a quick reply. Personally I skim through posts now, if it really sticks out then I try to assist, but only if there is the most remote chance that I can help, and if others have already replied then in most cases I just go onto the next thread, there ARE lots of members here with vast knowledge, also many are on different time lines, and cant always expect a response on a weekend either - Im a moderator also so Im just reading to verify there is no spam, even then I cant view all the threads and posts. Anyway, wish you luck in your quest
  7. Well got the memocam .. its pretty large .. I mean its a motion detector housing but darn its a big one. Anyway .. hard to angle in a tiny area .. had to attach the pivot to the ceiling then point the housing down at an angle. Got a micro SD card kit with a mini SD adaptor but I think its larger than 2GB. Why do you say it might not work over 2GB? Is that a limitation with mini and micro SD cards? If so why would they have 8GB ones? Anyway going to give it a try. The manual does not mention a limit, but says if the card is not formatted it will format it when you put it in. Also though their website says it is IP ready for remote video etc, the board has no lan connections and the manual makes no mention at all of networking. I contacted Video Domain using their online support page but it came back to me undeliverable! For this client It may not even be needed, but it could be easier in the future when accessing video instead of having to straighten up the housing, removing the bottom screw, then trying to get the mini SD card out of the slot, while its mounted like that on the wall - then after viewing the images on a PC, having to put it all back and readjust the camera. 2010 and no LAN ... thats a big disadvantage in my opinion.
  8. didnt know they were the same, 123 is in farmingdale and they are in Manhattan, also prices can be much different between some products. But I see for 123's RMA it is the same address .. strange. Never had a major problem with 123 yet and I send some clients there. Here is the canal street location: Here is the farmingdale location: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=123+Security+Products&sll=40.836043,-73.065291&sspn=0.000539,0.001313&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=1055+Portion+Rd,+Farmingville,+Suffolk,+New+York+11738&t=h&cid=2942946733413895175&ll=40.835986,-73.065291&spn=0.000539,0.001313&z=20&iwloc=A There is a little shopping mall in the demo videos on Surveillance-Video.com, and it is the same exact one as in the google maps street view for 123's farmingdale location Once again, I havent had any major issues using 123 yet, no more than I had using distributors in the past.
  9. Last I read Techwin is different from GVI, or is it just Techwin supplying GVI with the products or chip? GVI is pushed alot as Samsung among US distributors, but Techwin is still sold also. I always preferred Techwin over the GVI gear.

    Genie Dome CCTV Cameras

do you mean the LENS or the cover? I have yet to see a vandal resistant dome or even some other vandal resistant cameras with a cover that does not scratch easily. I believe its the type of glass used (Polycarbonate?) and them not having any anti scratch coating over it. Either way just dont use your fingers and dont use paper towel. Even some tee shirts will scratch it.

    Slight Distortion in Video Feed

480volts? Yeah that will do it then .. i was mistaking it for regular high voltage ..

    Slight Distortion in Video Feed

Yeah first I would try another camera just as a temporary test. If that has the same issue, then as mentioned get it away from the high voltage. Should not have been run that close to it anyway. If still an issue, then try some different passive baluns or try active to passive or if you want to go all out active to active, but something from a decent brand - remember you get what you pay for. You are right though 300' should be fine but I was talking 700', although I even had issues before with a couple baluns at 200', probably was just a crappy brand though, wasnt lines though, lines occur without the balun ofcourse!

    Slight Distortion in Video Feed

Yeah but running cat5 with passive baluns is not helping either. At that distance I would not hesitate to go active to passive.
  14. No warranty issue down here, not for cameras this cheap at least. So basically bpzle you are doing what I did. Just checking
  15. Hi Soundy, thanks for the reply. I dont know, was just thinking there has to be a better way ... guess this is what it is when dealing with these type of cameras ... I like the green connector with the 24VFs .. otherwise terminal stips etc are still too big to put through the hole in the ceiling mount or id just use them (even with terminal strips the small braid wire doesnt always hold) - well could make it bigger but for example most times the holes are not that large when its a wooden ceiling. My main concern is with leaving that in the ceiling and somehow it gets caught on something I cant see as cant access that part of the ceiling, and then when you pull the wire down it comes loose ...

    Slight Distortion in Video Feed

yeah try another camera and see what gives. I had something similar these past couple weeks that had me pulling my hair out, with a couple old EX82s .. worked by me with no lines .. I even spent hours in the middle of the night gutting them and taking the camera modules and lenses to pieces (never again!) but they worked fine and changed some parts from other used cameras that had some good parts, put them back at the client just sitting on the grass or ladder or even in someones hand.. lines .. another camera on the same pole .. no lines. .. another camera from another location on the same pole and same cable .. no lines .. i changed the power board on the camera module but still lines at the client location ... bad camera .. but ONLY the color camera module .. it also has a BW camera module .. both modules have the camera board then a power board together. There were a few different versions of the cameras though .. purchased at different times, design was a little different among them. I had to change the entire color camera module for the same reason just a few months ago in one of the other cameras ..and oh yeah all 24VAC. But this time I had no good color camera modules lying around .. so had to buy a couple new cameras. One was 9 years old anyway, the other was about 4 years old.
  17. What they said ^^ also you might want to look at the video at night and mask out any areas that might have more motion, also spray bug spray like baygon around the camera, could help keep some of the bugs away for a week or so at a time (we did this every 2 weeks for motion detectors at the 2 major food stores here in their warehouses, the ****roaches and spiders loved them, but this worked for a week or so at a time to help prevent false alarms, didnt stop the huge rats though!) Also you might want to consider setting a schedule for recording on motion during daylight hours and continuous record at night at a lower framerate.
  18. no problem .. give them time, if its not a common product it sometimes takes a little while until someone that knows the product comes online to check the forum.

    Slight Distortion in Video Feed

Did you try one camera connected at a time on the DVR? And one camera powered up at a time? Also going by the specs of that camera it is 12VDC @ 850mA? You say you are using a 24VAC power supply? 12VDC probably wont make that long run either.

    Slight Distortion in Video Feed

When you view the camera at the DVR end direct to a monitor and not on the DVR, how is it? When you view the camera directly at the camera on same power, how is it? When you view the camera directly at the camera on separate localized power, how is it? Have you tried checking the video where it splits off to the RG59? As mentioned could be ground loop, but could also be other things like just a bad video connection/splice, even a bad camera. Could also be the balun or how you are powering it? What RG59 cable are you using? And is it siamese?
  21. It seemed the problem was clear from the first post, but since nothing I said is useful then I guess I cant help, sorry.
  22. i dont have any of those phones thats why i didnt follow their links
  23. If it is still getting reflection from the IR LEDs then the rubber/foam ring is not touching the glass which is a R&D failure. One option is to move the camera forward more so the ring sits on the glass, make your own ring using store bought rubber or foam, or using small pieces of double stick tape attach the ring to the glass and adjust it as you put the cover on so it fits over the lens. Or ofcourse use the new glass cover with the additional ring.
  24. Looks like the glass just needs a good clean. Has it been cleaned since it rained? Any bugs or spiders over it?
