TOTAL 120fps in CIF, 30fps in D1, is normal with most 4 channel DVRs these days. 4 channel DVRs are typically a manufacturers budget units, they tend to make them as cheap as possible and with that comes less features.

Anyone know about Scanmail 10K Electronic Mail Scanner?
rory replied to kahlenn's topic in Security Cameras
No idea, please explain more. -
No problem, they have the same exact camera in a bullet as well. Or you could make your own housing such as using a simple weatherproof gang box. Yes KT&C USA: http://www.ktnc.co.kr/english/viewforum.php?f=18

how did a huge company such as GE get sold out to an unknown name like the one you mentioned?
-
Hi, sorry I dont know. The client that was using this had a netbook which they would use when mobile so it had XP or Win7 which could run this .. I dont remember seeing any phone software though.
-
Was not the power upgrade was something internal, as GE at the time told me we had to goto their place and become certified with them to be able to buy the part from them?
-
What device are they using now for the phone lines?
-
With DMMultiview, you can configure multiple remote servers/cameras for remote viewing. but only view 1 at a time.
-
this should work, mount it in the car. this is very inexpensive. http://www.ktnc.co.kr/english/viewtopic.php?t=434 as mentioned the traffic light is a light already. color camera should see it fine.

Come again??

there are some newer models from KT&C and others which have a very low current draw and dont get that hot now.

Do you have a link to their remote software? I can test it on my P4 and my netbook. Even without video, just to see how it is. As for the video as long as you could adjust the bandwidth and quality then should be fine, worst case might be a lag when changing screen views or resizing. Also I missed another question you asked, Im able to view 36 cameras on a basic linksys wireless router using the wireless .. no real issues. However it is not from the type of DVR you mentioned, so may differ.\
-
ok lol .. depends on the software. i cant say as I never used that particular DVR. i developed my own remote viewer for Geovision DVRs and Axis IP cameras, on a P4 and had to then switch to developing it on my EEE PC 700 as it was still too slow for that ..now? I can view 36 cameras remotely from various dvrs/IP cameras in one multiview on my netbook and not feel slow. But thats my software, it will depend on the software you use, what they developed it on, how much they tweaked it - most developers these days seem to think everyone has super computers! My goal was to make mine fast. The video itself, depends on the DVR, such as compression and resolution of the stream. Perceived speed depends on the software developer. Ive used some Remote DVR apps that simply destroy my P4, for example they could take 5 minutes just to load .. i run from them fast fast!

Nope. You would be lucky if any DVR with an Atom could handle 4 cameras let alone do 32 cameras. It might be possible if it is all being processed as half CIF but CIF and above will severely over stress the poor slow Atom. Also, if its a mini pc where will the card go?
-
I dont know about whether it has software for mobile phones. As to minimizing it, do you mean the manufacturers software or the one i posted a link to on my site? If its my custom one, then just click minimize at the top right.

oh by the way neither of those lenses fit on the CNB IR Dome .. Well the 2.45 did fit but it had to be screwed right into the point where it touched the CCD .. so that was no good .. the 1.78 was way too long to even try. 3.8mm was okay in this case (needed IR as pitch dark). Wont use that dome again though. -

Even if you find a DVR that can handle the heat, such as the Avermedia EB1304 or the AvTech units .. and other basic DVRs such as those .. the hard drives will still take a good beating. Might want to consider looking at a solid state drive, although they could end up costing more then the DVR! As soundy mentioned the mobile DVRs could provide for lower power. -
are the drives totally blank, no partition at all? Also, the older GE DVRs could not handle 2x 7200rpm drives without a power upgrade.
