  10. computers been SATA for the past couple years .. time to move on up aye
  11. yeah but if i was to order it that takes about 2 weeks and costs $100 shipping .. would then just be worth ordering an IDE hard drive from them instead .. but still the problem arises when we need to change the hard drive
  12. LOL yeah there is ready made forum spamming software that supports various types of forums .. most being php based. And yep they do find ways to get around the various CAPTCHAs, especially because the source code of said forums are OPEN SOURCE
  13. guess one could if could find an IDE-SATA adapter ..
  14. got one brand new one sitting here doing nothing still .. came without a hard drive and them IDE's arent easy to locate down here no more Im looking for SATA only DVRs now ..
  15. Anyone else ever had a delusion of traveling across history? Theres many upload websites, like mediafire, megaupload, etc.
  16. The image quality hasn't been to my satisfaction in the past with the various passive baluns I used, but im sure they can differ from one to the next. If I were ever to use UTP Transmission again though I wouldn't use baluns, I would use Active Transmitters and Receivers. Otherwise, here RG59 is just as cheap as UTP cable, and easier to work with, as well as BNCs being readily available from anywhere anytime, or even just use an RCA or can even use it without a connector as in the case of my 2 cameras at my appt.

Need help .. CCTV for ATM ?

There all going to differ. At the gas stations they have their own rooms for the ATMs as far as the ones Ive seen. Imagine they have a recorder inside the ATM itself. They have a vandal dome outside in the store near the ATM to watch what goes on around it, and then I guess a camera on or inside the ATM itself (not all of them though). Some Banks just have a camera inside the ATM room and nothing even inside the ATM. Best just to wait and see what they tell you they want, they should know.
  18. I haven't had good luck with them, least not the regular passive baluns ive used.
  19. Lock down the PC then you wont need any.

    Intellicam G4-400HPT and ISC-P540X Review

you should hear it switch over, if it is supposed to have a mech IR Cut filter and it is not switching then it could be bad. I just had a Nuvico like that, the filter is sticking. With bullet cameras they are built inbetween the lens typically, so would need to change the lens, but its not something you just pick up. Also could be a loose wire from the lens to the board or some other loose connector.
  22. Id consider this Spam and the thread would have been moved if it was not for your guys responding to it .. yet anyway. Its registered out of China and the OP is also from China .. if that answers any questions.
  23. just connected a few cameras to both a GV800 and a GV650, 2 different PCs and the GV800 has 15 other cameras and has for a couple years with none of this issue. Also one of the cameras is powered in the ceiling (previous installers) and the previous camera was fine (had a Sony CCD), the others are powered from a 12VDC 4 channel PSU. The GV650 has 4 cameras, 1 OEM Dome with a Sony CCD Camera, the other 3 are the newer versions of that 1 dome, but they have Panasonic CCDs. Only the cameras with the Panasonic CCDs are giving this problem, on 2 seperate DVRs also, with different power supplies and other hardware and even different 8.xx versions (8.12 on the newer one and the older one I think has 8.11 - not 100% sure but its an older version Anyway the line could be said to take up about5% of the video and basically is causing a smaller FOV also. On a CCTV CRT Monitor both at the DVR end and the Camera side, it is fine - until it is plugged into the Geo DVRs. The part of the video from the domes with the Panasonic CCD are actually better quality than the older version (still a brand new camera) which as the Sony CCD .. course that could be other causes such as a cheaper Sony CCD or other factors like less internal camera features or what not. Either way .. ANDY or anyone know if there is a fix for this? Great video otherwise .. just makes it look bad t o have part of the video missing, and only on the GeoVision cards. The cameras in question are these: http://www.eclipsecctv.com/ECL-5H_dome_camera.html http://www.eclipsecctv.com/ECL-557H_dome_camera.html Dont know if it is actually something to do with the Pano CCD or just a coincidence . . bottom line is I need to fix it though. Ive noticed this before when using 720x480 source with Combo cards and 8.xx but never before with the other cards, and also, I tried all sources and also different compressions and still the same problem. Also tried diff screen resolutions, no deinterlace and no overlay, to no prevail, the problem still exists. A small example of this is seen remotely here, but it is not as evident as it is on the local PC where it is maybe 4 times the thickness:
  24. Typically doesn't exist on OEM Bullet and Fixed Dome cameras though.
