Even with IR lenses you can still get blur. Glare from certain lighting like spot lights will cause such a problem, and ofcourse if its really dark then it can seem blurry. Anyway, regardless of whether they claim there should be no focus shift, focus the camera under low light. If it has a backfocus, adjust that (wont go into details but search for backfocus on the forum). Make sure it stays in focus in low light, full light, and IR if it uses any. You will need to do this in a controlled environment for best results. (eg. Large Garage).

let me know where you can buy XP 64 bit and I will be forever in your debt

Ive used the GE WDR Camera which uses Pixim and Was not impressed. Now I would use Panasonic if I needed WDR.

back to RTOS stand alone then They plan to still sell for another couple years for mini PCs such as the Eee PC though not sure if that is only to the manufacturer or also to end users. Personally I wont use Vista for a DVR so will need to move onto greener pastures when that takes place.

spray paint the plastic camouflage Actually wonder if you paint it the same color of the building .. then just leave a small hole for the lens ..

Ultra VNC? -
Just go down to the local plastic store and have them whip up one for you. Trying to understand the point of the plastic see through dome showing an ugly looking camera??
-
specially since the manufacturer (if grandeye is that) says its an analog camera

seen that 360 degree camera a few years ago ... it wasnt 38 MP though!

What type of computer is it? Speed should be the same. Anyway, you could change the "LAN" to "MODEM" Set to quality of 2 as you have You can also disable direct draw and that speeds it up just a tad: Replace: (all WebCamX's) EnableDirectDraw True To: EnableDirectDraw False

Sorry, I know this is too late now anyway, but Ive never used that thing

http://bssc.sel.sony.com/BroadcastandBusiness/DisplayModel?m=10001&p=21&sp=168&id=73423 Okay Box Cameras, high resolution as far as CCTV goes. Dont expect to see 'everything' in detail though, its not a MegaPixel camera, and not a MegaPixel price. As these cameras are on special now, its suffice to say they are actually right now, considered budget box cameras (i quoted them over Bosch just the other day as they are sooo much cheaper right now!). Need to see some snapshots from the cameras though. However it still wont tell us if the cameras are really in focus as saved from the DVR to a PC the image is highly degraded. But at least we can get an idea. Lots of things cause an image to 'not be clear', the first and foremost being the focus, but also very common, glare. if the Installer doesn't know the camera, never worked with them before, and did not spend any time with them outside of slapping them up in your business, it is possible they are just not set up properly. Ofcourse its also possible your expectations might be just tad bit too high .. once again .. we need to see something also.
