Yes, Apollo HD, Apollo HD Lite, Apollo HD Pro, Apollo 32 (NOT Zeus) If it has only VGA then dont do it, that is the Zeus model. I have personally not tested it with any of the Qvis DVRs yet. A member here has done it on at least the Apollo HD (slim 1U Dahua LE-A), maybe others. I have installed it on the LE-A and LE-U 32 under another OEM brand name. Bottom line is .. as the firmware is not directly from your reseller you upgrade at your own risk In other words if it gets bricked you would have to pay to ship it back and have it flashed.

it doesnt exist yet, its a test program i was working on.

White LED is very little light output compared to conventional visible light or halogen lamp. I dont see any reason to use white LED at all now After client spent over $2000 on 3 white LED and they sucked worse than cheap dusk to dawn

BTW bruce is not saying you are wrong. Fujitsu may actually be the best hard drive in the world Ive been using them as my portable USB drives for a few years now. (simpletech)

"we also need to make very clear that the study is not representative and cannot be seen as a comprehensive reliability summary. It reflects only a very tiny fraction of the hard drive market." http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/hdd-reliability-storelab,2681-2.html A Russian study by a company called Storelab. Yeah ... I'd really rely on that .. what with all the failed hard drives in my country being shipped to Russia ...

Toms hardware doesn't live in a country where power spikes and brownouts are daily practice. However I would agree that the Hitachi in general have lasted well here, but over all the most common hard drive here that gives little to no issues are ofcourse the Western Digital Drive. That said brand means little, as long as the hard drive is on a Voltage Regulator it can last for years. If its not on one of those, then no wonder you guys have failures.

You need to see if the DVR allows a connection with another stream. Example would be an "Extra Stream" or "Additional Stream". This would typically be used for Mobile phones and be in lower CIF resolution and lower bitrates like 64-256. If so then yes you will be able to stream from 1 DVR at that upload speed. As long as these are DVRs spread across locations with each having 384-512 upload then you should be fine. Its the D1 that kills that kind of bandwidth. You may still be able to stream 20-30 cameras from a single location with CIF encoding but it really depends on the DVR's network and encode options, and the ISP. In that case you could drop the bitrate down more also. What model of DVR is this?
-
This is your problem. if its from the bandwidth its ok,, ok now am using 2 DVRs, each one 16 channels and i think ill add another one with 8 channels in the future,, in ur oppinion what is the minimum upload rate should i have to make the remote access view and playback acceptable. thanks alot depends on the DVR and compression but I know one thing .. with the average upload speed in this country being 384k it is next to impossible to stream 16 cameras in D1 from a DVR .. With 1Mb upload at one client it is fine. Imagine if each still image frame is approx 40-80kb .. times that by 16 and ..
-
with 110 upload you are lucky if 2-4 cameras push through okay, and if you are trying more than that it will definitely cause problems. Especially if you are using D1. If the DVR has the choice of another stream like in CIF, then use that instead.

still needs work, but its the idea that counts this example, i run 2 instances of the test program, each one grabs a different video window .. its a little tricky and generally the main PSS will need to be hidden while these are running

Is complete remote setup of Dahua DVR possible
rory replied to pilotg2's topic in Digital Video Recorders
UAC is user accounts control, its the thing that keeps asking you what you want to do ... and you have to hit okay etc to run whatever. There is no way around having to at least hit OK to exit PSS as that window cannot be removed entirely without error, well except for maybe running a custom program in the background that waits until the exit window pops up then it automatically clicks Ok for you. If UAC is turned on, any settings and data that is changed within PSS will be saved in the Virtual Store folder (see locations in my link). If you copy a custom skins folder to the Virtual Stores path then it should use that automatically, once UAC is enabled. I dont know what goes on in the background of PSS but I guess it sees it cant make changes to the default path so checks the virtual store to see if any data or skins are there .. if not it just uses what is in the default path, just a theory though. There is really no way to control which path PSS uses, it all depends on if UAC is enabled or not (well you may be able to change security settings on the PSS default path so PSS can make changes to that folder but I am again without a Windows 7 computer to test with). Basically PSS doesnt raise the level to ask for admin rights when it finds it cant write to the default path, so instead it just goes straight to using the Virtual Store path where it has complete control. If UAC is disabled and it can write to the install path, then it uses that automatically no matter what you have in the Virtual Store path. If you are going to make changes to the skins in the PSS install path, you need to delete the PSS shortcuts on your desktop and startmenu, and make a new shortcut to PSSProject.exe using right click Send to desktop as shortcut. Otherwise the Windows Installer will always kick in and replace the removed files when you use those installed shortcuts, as those are created by the installer. ALSO, you can always just copy the entire PSS install folder to another area of your computer like documents, user data, or even the desktop, then create a shortcut from the PSSProject in that folder to your desktop, no matter what Windows Installer will never kick in and you can make all the changes in the world you want to that folder just like in XP. Except with UAC enabled it might ask you each time if you want to run it. At least without adjusting security settings manually on that folder. Lastly, if you want a clean install, uninstall PSS first, then manually goto the Program Files (or X86) path and delete the PSS folder there, also goto the Virtual Store folders and delete the PSS folders there. THEN install PSS and it will not have any previous settings, data, or skins. Rory -
Yeah i used the iDMSS today and I must say .. I wasnt impressed. They need to really fix it so you can load all cameras into the view, or at least SAVE the view. maybe they will have an update to the iDMSS next month. Im pretty sure when I used the DMSS for the iPad a few months ago it saved the video when it was reopened? Or maybe that was the Android phone I used. Anyway I dont use mobile phones so .. handling that iPad today I was so thankful I never wasted money on one of those .. made me really appreciate my Netbook alot more .. BTW @ Zohan, PM me and I will send you a link to test.

my cutters and my hands. -
Does it still do it with my single viewer? That will only stream one camera at a time, so if it still doesnt work like that then there is something else wrong. I can get that to stream from the slowest sites down here.

554 is the RTSP port also ..

Lots of big brands sell the same exact products others do but as soon as their name goes on it .. + > $$$$$$ Prices really do vary though with these DVRs all over the internet. Id double check that $299 though, as thats likely the VGA model (LE-AS).

dauha dvr Transfer Mode, firmware upgrade, MAC ADDR, Reboot?
rory replied to jokerone's topic in General Digital Discussion
I put the previous 2.608 on the 32 channel also According to the information that came along with this firmware from Dahua, this works for: LE-A, HE-T, LE-L, LE-S, 3204LE-U So I believe that covers the Apollo HD Pro, Apollo HD Lite, and Apollo 32? Rory -
Yes its been a while but that is pretty much what I figured at the time. The camera stays in color mode so it is less sensitive. If I put it to BW only it might have been much better but then ofcourse it would be BW all the time. Pretty much with the white LED the camera always stays in color mode even with DN enabled, unless one uses the external switchover on the camera and tie that into the LED switchover. Either way the client in that case had it with all that light anyway after just a month or two, and asked it be removed and replaced it with $2500 Bosch IR cameras.

Great to hear. Now just to figure out the new playback BTW if you select 1 channel playback and click a file to play, a little running man icon becomes enabled to click. He is a filter for motion events if any exist, and it will play from one event to the next. I think Sean might be doing an updated manual on how to use that new screen as one does not yet exist from Dahua. I put most of my time into the network and remote side of things which explains all my custom software, and tweaks and articles for PSS. Basically in the new playback screen, on the right hand side under the camera boxes there are 2 icons, the left one is to search, the right one shows the list of files after you search. You can no longer drag the video but you can click the recorded timeline to move anywhere you want to play. You can also zoom into the time line using the bottom left icons. One new limitation with this firmware is that if someone is already connected over the network, you are limited to max 4 channel playback - only affects 8+ channel DVRs ofcourse. -
Pulling what little hair I have left out - Cameras!!!

I just get both brands from 123. I still use CNB but not the monalisas, they have good prices on their non monalisa WDR domes. -

rory replied to jokerone's topic in General Digital Discussion
You can do either, I always do it over the network, but if you dont have that option, rename the bin file update.bin, format the USB drive as fat32 and then put it on that. -
I agree to a point. Except this white LED light was nothing like conventional visible lighting, its dim yet painful on the eyes.
-
Maybe look at Dahua, inexpensive but loaded with features. Rebranded under different names such as QVis, AData, XTS Video, EDGE, IC Realtime, MACE, GEN IV, and others

Your the noob that came up in here all high and mighty belittling people for even suggesting the use of 12VDC and Infrared like there is some "holy grail" of cctv that says one cant do it that way .... sorry but if you cant take the heat well you know .. kitchen and all that. Its good to know you dont have to work for a living though, that your money falls out of the sky. Wish I lived in that la la land.

Ok then I shouldnt say never just because of just one brand (its the only white LED i used so far) .. I see you put ALOT of time into your software so I will trust your word on it.
