Trouble reinstalling software
rory replied to ircwet's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
try again in a while, it let you upload before, it could just be the server ... -
They are good, i prefered the CyberDome though myself.
-
Ok thats it, you are stuck with Pelco or Sanyo protocols. The GE Legend PTZ can be set to Pelco, though you cant use the GE controller with it.
-
you'd need to either check the manual or data sheet and see if it has the PTZ protocols listed, if not, would need to send Sanyo an Email and ask them.

Trouble reinstalling software
rory replied to ircwet's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
is it 4 cards? Do they look like this? http://www.aver.com/2005home/product/dvr/window/4eyespro/4eyespro.shtml Seeing an Argus Service in there which when using google comes back to Avermedia and this card ... -
I cant speak for Pelco, but for Ge ... If the Sanyo DVR supports the Kalatel Protocol, then it will work with the GE CyberDomes. If it does not, you can still use the GE Legend PTZ and set it to Pelco Protocol. The CyberDome only uses the Kalatel Protocol. You could use a Generic/Sanyo Controller (not sure what they offer) for the Legend if set to Pelco Protocol, but you will not get the same speed out of it as you would if using the GE Controller and the Kalatel Protocol. When using the Kalatel Protocol and the GE controller, you get the full speed, without it and using a Generic/Other controller, it has a slower response. I hooked up a GE Legend PTZ to an Eclipse PC based DVR and used the Eclipse Controller, which is why I know this. Also have in the past connected a GE CyberDome using the GE Controller and the kalatel Protocol with a GeoVision PC based DVR, and had full speed. Basically it is what I experienced, and also what GE told me at the time.

Trouble reinstalling software

Is there a name on the card itself anywhere? here is a VBscript that will show a text report of the bios, motherboard, video, PCI and any unknown hardware. Copy and paste here, the PCI and Unknown hardware, there maybe a name or ID there that can help us identify it. http://www.bahamassecurity.com/uploads/MboardBiosVid.vbs Rory -
Avermedia NV5000 4x4 =16ch?
rory replied to Ubon94's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Thanks. Still sounds okay, it would be primarily for a budget system in this case. Rory -
AVTech/CPCam. AVC-760/CPD-560. I agree on this one, these have to be the least expensive on the North American side of the Globe .. they come under various OEM names now, and have improved significantly from their earlier counterparts. You will find the AVTech 760 branded under different names, basically its the one without the USB, VGA or IR Remote, but it still has LAN. They have removable Hard Drive bays.

other than the typical motherboard CPU monitoring software which I use on new builds to monitor the PC in the case a new or additional fan is required somewhere, I also use this program, especially on older PCs (such as mine!): http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php

Avermedia NV5000 4x4 =16ch?
rory replied to Ubon94's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Ispy, What do you think of the NV3000 for an 8 channel system? Its much cheaper than the Geo GV650 so thats why I was looking at it .. thanks. -

icrealtime pro8 vs panasonic wj-rt 208
rory replied to deserteaglexxx's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Personally I would go with the GE DVMRe over both of them, in that price range at least and a stand alone DVR. But for real time on all channels, and for a high end app like a casino, you may want to look at other options. -
Do you mean the video files? The CD itself should have the version number on it also (I believe - dont have one handy right now)
-
yes, you can also click on the ABOUT menu item.
-
No prob, I would take a look at our banner advertisers first. Eclipse is not sold as widely as the Nuvico though, down here we purchase the Eclipse from a wholesale distributor.

The difference between an AvTech unit and say a GE unit, is day and night. I'll see if I can compile a list of differences this weekend, as I have used both.

Old article but still ... http://directmag.com/news/marketing_supercircuits_catalog_charged/ Anyway they are just a retailer, OEM and such.

16 audio input - Louroe - What product should I choose?
rory replied to netpromax's topic in General Digital Discussion
Ive really only use their Verifact-A (on a netpromax also BTW ) with success, though I manually tied them into the DVRs audio input/s. However a few years back I used a multi input base station, cant remember which model it was, but it worked well, no issues at all. -
if you are on a tight budget, check out the AVtech 760, also sold as CPCam in North America, and other OEMs. As mentioned Linksys routers support DDNS, and I have been using the DynDns free service.
-
AVTech is the manufacturer, CPCam is a marketing project by AVTech in North America.

The Extreme CCTV EX82's are nice, if you can afford them. - the ultimate Day Night Camera - with 100' of Infrared (30 degrees). They come in white or black housings. Other than that, GE have a Day Night Box camera, and Panasonic also has a nice version with Wide Dynamic Technology, though they require bulky housings. Bullet cameras would be the next option, a True Day Night IR Bullet (with a mechanical IR Cut Filter - or IRC as some of them spec it). Nuvico has a model, the NVCC-HW3895IR36N-A. There are other OEM brands that are basically just as good also. I've used the Eclipse 598HIMs in the past with success, out to approximately 50' of Infrared at 30 degrees. Unfortunately the image on the EX82 or the box cameras will typically be much better than that of any bullet camera. I am mentioning degrees in relation to the Infrared as that is the width of the Infrared beams in this case. For example, a 4mm lens is approx 70 degrees width. If you dont need the IR then no sweat, you can also simply disable that inside the camera. Bottom line is what is the budget. Whoops I just noticed, $300, so you will need to look at the bullet cameras as mentioned above. the EX82's and even the box cameras will be well above your price range. Rory
