Own a Geovision card? Do yourself a favor, check out Livevue
rory replied to RichTJ99's topic in Geovision
Example of new optional OSD feature with various multiviews: there are also 2 way and 49 way views (not shown), others in the works. http://www.bahamassecurity.com/tmp/NewLiveVueOSD2.jpg (4 way) http://www.bahamassecurity.com/tmp/NewLiveVueOSD10.jpg (6 way) http://www.bahamassecurity.com/tmp/NewLiveVueOSD11.jpg (7 way) http://www.bahamassecurity.com/tmp/NewLiveVueOSD1.jpg (8 way) http://www.bahamassecurity.com/tmp/NewLiveVueOSD3.jpg (9 way) http://www.bahamassecurity.com/tmp/NewLiveVueOSD4.jpg (10 way) http://www.bahamassecurity.com/tmp/NewLiveVueOSD5.jpg (13 way) http://www.bahamassecurity.com/tmp/NewLiveVueOSD6.jpg (16 way) http://www.bahamassecurity.com/tmp/NewLiveVueOSD7.jpg (25 way) http://www.bahamassecurity.com/tmp/NewLiveVueOSD8.jpg (36 way) http://www.bahamassecurity.com/tmp/NewLiveVueOSD9.jpg (36 way - no OSD) http://www.bahamassecurity.com/tmp/64wayEGWithOSD.jpg (64 way) http://www.bahamassecurity.com/tmp/64wayEG.jpg (64 way - no OSD) http://www.bahamassecurity.com/tmp/64wayEGWithProcess.jpg (shows performance, CPU usage approx 79% and memory size at 617K, this is on a 2.0Ghz AMD w/ 512DDR Ram, most of the memory load is actually on the creation of 64 Video Windows along with other apps im running and the developing of this over the past several hours, bandwidth isnt a major factor either) http://www.bahamassecurity.com/tmp/64wayEGWithBandwidth.jpg (shows networking, not all sites connected this time though) the GUI is not present in this development stage some sites shown are demos found on the web -
Nope .. i dropped that card myself way back when as they didnt look like they were going any further with it ... as far as i know though you cant stack so you'd probably need a second PC ... dont quote me on that though

there's at least 1 other member that had the same issue, after some time with Geo Tech Support on their PC etc, it turned out to be a bad card .. thats why I mentioned that ... but let me on it with UVnc and ill be happy to check it out ..

Cool BTW, we're having that job completely rewired, rg59 Siamese all around, as it had been "pieced" together over the years as she added this, cut this road, moved this tree, built this building etc .. also the Sanyo box cams have been replaced with EX82's now, and a couple extra EX82's have been added, the UF500 is still there also, and there's 2 x 16 ch linux embedded DVRs. I'll get some updated images when all the wiring and redjusting has been done. I had originally turned it over to some other guys here to handle, as it was becoming alot of work for one person when work was required (add ons, etc) and i had other projects in the working, but they needed help getting the wiring and power situation straight after adding the other cams (they used telco wire!!!), so its back in my hands again, along with one of them as well. I dont deal with Extreme direct myself anymore, the other guys do, though I still love their Extreme Products (EX), they let me down in the past with the WZ products. They should just stick to the high end (EX, ZX, UF, etc) products, as thats what they do extremely good.

electrify the flag, and put a note on it, "touch me if you bad!"

My bad, it was the WZ16 i guess we have here .. it was the 4-9mm version .. unless they changed the model .. either way, they are sitting in my colleagues garage as the day night switch over would never stay focused, no matter when or how it was focused .. We use a similar camera to the WZ16 now, but at almost half the cost, and it stays in focus between day and night modes.

what's Ploska? -
Yep, well I was blind before I messed with IR so im not a good example Plus what Ive been messing with is stuff like the UF100s and UF500s, in the case of the UF500 it will burn your skin within 3 feet of it! Though even with the smaller IR cameras, such as the D/N IR Bullets with like a 50' Spot, inside a small Room thats going to hurt your eyes looking at it, cause in essense looking at any light of that size directly would do so .. well it did hurt my eyes .. but do i think it caused permanent damage .. doubtful. The sun is much stronger here than that alone, and goodness knows what kind of radiation ive been getting from my CRT TV (and previous PC Monitor) over the years. Safest bet is to just fit the kids cot with a tinted sun roof

Ge here for some safety reports on IR, these are the IR experts: http://www.extremecctv.com/products.php?producttype_id=1

LEDs and Bulbs have both hurt my eyes in the past where they burned for days afterwards .. so its really up to you guys ..

Have you checked the PC specs? Nice cases but ... The machines the client have here have very low memory (128MB with XP!) 1-Channel Audio - uses the PC's onboard Motherboard MIC input (possibly a card accessory?) Restart required to rescan channels (maybe fixed in a newer version?) Windows XP is loaded with all default settings, which is unsecure, and slow generally. Other than that, no other complaints from me Hey, a couple of them have been running now for a couple years without any major issues, so they work. -
Yes, and im actually going there again today ... If you look on Extreme's web site, I am featured in an Article also.
-
Thats good, cause a tech that cant put a BNC connector on properly shouldn't be in the industry

how long you been using them for now..? they do lack alot of the common accessories though. I have other issues with them, which are why I would never use them myself, but I wont go into that in this thread. Otherwise they arent bad. -

Negative and Solarized is nice to identify the amount of light being produced from an IR source, and where it is located for further adjustments/upgrades, see below: Original: Negative: Solarized:
