IR inside at doors (looking in), WDR looking at the main entrance/s door, indoor color domes throughout the rest, varifocal color on cash registers. I've since switched to KT&C 700TVL except the eyeball IR domes which are generic.

The GE DVMRE used an RTOS called Nucleus, not linux (came from the Kalatel take over). And for several years it ruled the CCTV industry as there was nothing else out there worth talking about.

I don't sell cameras period (clients buy everything direct), but I have used many.

Can you ID this software?
rory replied to ssnapier's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Why you gotta dis us southerners like that -
I got people asking me how to right click on a mouse, and you want them to use a PC to view and playback their cameras?? LOL. Tell you what, when the cost of a compact stand alone NVR with a TV output comes down in price then perhaps I may discuss this.

my bad, didnt see where he cut all the leads and they come with an OSD cable also. thought he was just talking about cutting the power plug off which is normal.
-
what PTZ toggle? What wire did you cut??? You said you cut the power wire? That camera is not a PTZ? Post a photo of the wire you cut and what colors come off it. Going by the PDF its just one cable coming from the camera and splits off to video and power. Normally there will be something right before the split where the manufacturer joins the wires, you will need to cut that and the clear sealer open so you can see what wires join to what. If there is not with some cameras you will need to take the camera OUT of the housing to see where the wires join. Sometimes the IR will be powered with a separate wire that joins to the final power wires. Ive gutted alot of these type of cameras and they can vary these days.
-
Because thats the way you are supposed to do it. Use plugs and they can come loose, so join the wires properly. Rory hope that is a joke ??? buy a camera with OSD fly lead. chop it off and throw over your shoulder WHY He was talking about cutting the power plug off, right??
-
Thats a crappy supplier then. I cut them all the time and have sent back many cameras and warranty was never an issue. The power plugs on the end of bullet and dome cameras are just to help DIYs, they are not PART of the camera. In fact in most cases you can take their camera cable off completely and put on one from another camera. The cables cost a few cents its nothing to loose a warranty over.

Must have to drill a big hole in that cement to get it through.

Joseph I suggest using Google Translate, it does alot better than your current one.

these are like $60 in the US 700TVL Indoor Dome 3.6mm, True Manufacturer. I have about 20 on order, will know soon enough how they are, but the price is good either way. http://www.ktnc.co.kr/english/viewtopic.php?t=944

Price tag match performance? & 200ft IR view distance?
rory replied to jetspeedz's topic in Security Cameras
Thats the average DEALER price for that type of camera, Weatherproof 5-50mm True Day Night Infrared Bullet Camera. Installers normally sell them for alot more. But you need to ask yourself if you even need a 5-50mm lens, cause thats what you would be paying for. -

ADATA APPOLO ZEUS8 (DAHUA) Forgotten password.
rory replied to grumman's topic in Digital Video Recorders
No the firmware update doesnt wipe the accounts. Least none of the ones I have done over the past year. -
Ofcourse that means you have to buy it, and wait for it to come, then hope it fixes the problem. Quick simple solution is to at least test with separate power supplies first, should have some lying around or can get them cheap at any local store.

rory replied to lselfstorage's topic in Digital Video Recorders
It doesnt appear to be a DVR made by Dahua. PSS will only connect to Dahua devices. You could try this one: http://www.digivisiondvr.com/products/DVRSoftwareSystem/NVRSoftware.asp Although it is an NVR client it supports DVRs and/or IP cameras from: Dahua, Ikvision, DG Series, Sony, ACTi, Huviron, Mobotix M12, Arecont, Camtron, Axis, Vivotek, Sanyo, ONVIF Basically it works with Dahua DVRs and IP cameras, and various DVRs or IP cameras from the other brands listed.
