    Webdvr not working in dubai

Test by using Telnet in Command Prompt. Telnet IP PORT if the screen clears and goes blank, then you connected ok. if not, you will see something like connection timed out, and that basically means something is blocking it. Either the Dubai ISP or the DVR's ISP are filtering certain IP Addresses/ranges.

Help me ID this problem please

The main problem with Baluns are they are much flimsier than BNC connections, and ofcourse other cable related issues . (that 1' may not suffice with twisted pair as it would with RG59) .. should only use this method if it is really needed - like multiple building apps. Id look at the connections, then if still doing it, run an RG59 with BNC to test it from the camera to the DVR. Just more likely to have issues with twisted pair and baluns ... so that could be the problem. Siamese typically represents RG59 BTW ...

Help me ID this problem please

Looks like a connection issue ... or the BNC input on the DVR .. did you try a new channel .. are there any other cameras? Is it PC based, if so make sure the card is in good and the connector is okay .. i get the same exact thing when i simply knock my RG59 that goes into my Geo card .. as I dont have my card screwed in .. yah know home PC and all everything is always open Also, did you test yet running a 50' RG59 loosely from the camera to the DVR ..? And why a balun and cat5 instead of RG59, for just 50'?

problems with picture resolution on GV-650

In the Geo System Configure there is a Direct Draw checkbox .. Make sure that is checked, if not, could be the video card/drivers .. Without DirectDraw Overlay it will look ok in smaller views but when in full view it will look pixelised like your image.

What version of Geo are you using?

problems with picture resolution on GV-650

Looks like you dont have Directdraw Overlay enabled, or the Video card you are using either does not support it, or does not have the drivers installed properly.

Do you mean Live Video? If so yes. Playback is in a seperate window.
  11. P3 800Mhz with Windows XP is definately one of the issues .. The other maybe that it is a clone and not an original card.

    Debunk license plate capture myth

that'l be cool ... Even if we get past the day night part, there is still the 24-7 IT staff that have to be there all the time ... and then there's the bandwidth issue .. but we've been over all this before already on the other threads ...

    Debunk license plate capture myth

So the only difference is the other ones have built in LAN ... LOL Ive said it before, and ill repeat it if I have too . .. the IP guys need to post some night time shots with IR and the like .. so far nothing ive seen has impressed me ... if the cameras are so good, then they must just really suck at marketing ... or they have sooo much money they just dont want any sales.

GV 250 quad display no live video help

the 7.0 menu is just a seperate EXE that shows a list of all the other programs on the CD .. one of the programs is the Geo Main System .. thats the only one you need download for the DVR .. to update it .. but also they have a program that validates your system first to make sure 8.0 will work with it .. So basically you want to download the First 2 programs from the 8.01 list V8.01 Detection Tool - Run this first on the DVR .. GV System - this is the main system .. this updates to 8.0 (1) Uninstall 7.0 first ... some settings will stay the same. Rory
