It will be better with a PC CRT Monitor (especially if they are using an LCD monitor now), but not as crisp as using the DSP output to a CCTV CRT Monitor, or even just a CRT TV.

any thing that is a copy of the original is typically illegal as it will generally infring on the item's copyright.

.02 Lux vs. .1 Lux?? (Speco v. Clover)
rory replied to HipsterDoofus's topic in General Digital Discussion
they are both around 0.1 lux .. same thing .. maybe a couple bad cameras .. anyway the CVC-130R is a POS .. used them before once but never again, nor anything like it .. Speco has much better BW bullets but they cost around $50 more .. otherwise you can get an OEM Exview BW Bullet for around the same cost that actually "does" go as low as 0.02 lux .. but doesnt look as good as the more expensive Speco model's do in daylight -
Whats the Resolution and Frame Rate though? I should have said yes alot to send to an ftp server on motion, just never seen that work well.

Applied to at least 10 online merchants, even the international ones, either didnt hear back from them or they replied they dont work with the Bahamas ... arghhhh .. we basically need a US bank account and address... just havent had the chance to deal with that yet .. busy starting a video monitoring company right now ..

okay well basics is MPEG4 and High Res .. the other details can be in a full details section .. as the end users dont want to know that much detail .. a screen shot from each camera really works also .. see a sample store I was working on .. never got off the ground since i live in a blacklisted part of the world .. http://www.cctvauthority.com/shop/

you could get a PC tower from TigerDirect for under $300 and add a 1 or 2 channel card ..

If you want archiving to your PC, you will need a DVR that supports that, which I cant think of any stand alones that do it well, even my beloved GE .. GeoVision for certain has the software specially for that, called Center V2. Other PC based DVRs do also. If you want highest quality evidence sharing you are stuck with a PC based in any event. Though make sure it is a good brand as some cheaper ones only handle lower resolutions. Ultimately, the neverfocus model definately wouldnt be the right choice for your requirements.

gor bad quality images, I want crisp clear images!
rory replied to za's topic in General Digital Discussion
The bullet cameras are 380TVL so they arent high resolution to start with, though ive found them to be decent even so. However, when you blow them up larger they wont be as clear. You will enhance some quality by using RG59 Siamese (RG59 copper with 18 gauge power cable). Rory -

I believe it was another issue .. Intel is the only recommended chipset, though some versions of the cards such as the GV250 - GV800 can work on a couple others, GV250 can work on just about anything as its a generic card basically, i was able to get GV800 working on a SIS. Note though, its an Intel Chipset that is recommended, not just the CPU type.

What cameras are they? They look okay from this end ...daytime .. cam 3 looks like it doesnt have an ir cut filter but that maybe due to looking through the glass ..
