use 2 pair telco from the mic to the if1 ... I havent used audio on the DVMRe nor the IF1 (i just use the verifact A by themselves and join themtogether and splice them together and give them 12VDC myself) but id think you would do this .. On the terminals on the IF1 where the audio, power and ground come in .. parrallel another wire (2 conductor or Telco) on the audio and ground .. run that wire back to the DVR and join the ground wire to 5 and the audio to 4 for audio in ... You also must enable Audio in the menu setup. Rory

Yep .. SVideo even better than RCA .. now if you can find a distribution amp that also has SVideo you could always split that off to the other TVs and therefore keeping the nice quality .. RF Mods generally are lower quality time as it is displayed on the TV Channel .. or even if you get a SVideo-RCA Adaptor and then use a Distribution amplifier such as a 4 channel version .. then run RCA or RG59 to each TV ... nice and clear .. If you were to use an RF Mod you just use the BNC Out using a BNC-RCA Adaptor, an RCA Cable to the RF Mod right there by the DVR, then run RG6 cable TV cable to where the cable splits out to the rest of the house, split it first, then use a low pass filter (if there are other channels on the cable) ..then back to the normal split back out to each TV .. you can buy 1, 2, 3, and 4 channel RF Modulators .. Any modulator will work. channel vision and channel plus have decent ones though ... optionally you can go right out of the DVR using an RCA cable and into the TV Video Input (AV) ... what DVR is it ..? Rory

found the manual online .. seems its just a basic OEM camera. .. no real need for active with that probably ... but its up to you .. according to NVT you can do passive 750' with their products .. typically you can get much further, thats just general specs if connecting to a DVR. If it was a high quality camera id definately say get Active .. but from what i can see its a basic camera. Rory

Hi, doesnt appear to be very low res, though going by the effective pixels its also not high res .. even though it says 480TVL .. dont know anything about the keypad so cant help there .. did it come with the camera from the manufacturer? Is it already getting power from the keypad? What connections does the camera have? With the Aiphone for example you use the cable that Aiphone suggests .. as typically there are different connections and power ratings, etc.. plus those cameras in the Aiphone arent typically considered CCTV cameras and are of lower quality with less features. didnt know they come cheaper .. that one costs us like $130 here in Nassau ... but we get a good price as they buy in bulk. ..and sell them like hotcakes due to our power issues here /...

his main thing are the settings and the video card .. he has overlay disabled .. with Geo you get pixelised images in larger views when thats not enabled .. ..he needs to get a video card that supports overlay (and deinterlace) .. plus there are a couple other settings he needs to change .. cant get on Ultra VNC myself as they have no internet there yet though or id fix the other settings . ..

LOL, we always use "computer" UPS' ..if there is such a thing .. basically get a UPS with AVR built in .. <-AVR is the important part .... Triplite or APC ... AVR can also be called Power conditioning.. http://www.apc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=BE650R&tab=models

There's a ton of Sentry CCTV's on google .. any chance of a scanned manual .. or the exact model number ..? There should be a video out for at least a quad view to the VCR .. but depends on the model.
-
Yall use it in the US?
-
my keyboard has issues right now so cant type much ... did you change the recording resolution? Do you have it set to Deinterlace? What codec are you using? What version software is this? Are the snapshots local or over the web? What is the model of video card? Motherboard, CPU, Chipset type ...?
-
Cant speak for the cameras or their focusing .. but the DVR looks like it just needs some tweaking .. Rory
-
Darn .. hope he's ok .. take care yourself also ..
-
one thing for sure, they will save on monthly internet bills ..
-
-
OzVision probably .. they have those same options .. telesite seems to be discontinued ..
-
Did you plug any of the cameras directly into a CCTV Monitor or TV to check the video outside of the DVR? What type of cable is used and how long are the lengths ..? What kind of power suppies are used and what are the total Amps? Rory
-
yep apparently SLC Technologies owned Kalatel and some other products/companies that GE now owns .. so I guess GE bought SLC ..
