not bad for full screen, can you change it to Mpeg4 or Wavelet ? Or is the distortion from the camera?

too bright problem with sony ssc-m183+fujinon yv27x29la-sa2l

as you adjust the Iris pot it would change as you do it, dark to bright. Sounds like a faulty camera. Ive used that lens before, the Kalatel version of it. Though there is a chance the lens could be bad also, id think it would be the camera before that. Do you have another camera you can test with that lens, or another lens with that camera? Rory -
Being OEM is probably why, Ive used the GE CyberDomes and they were super fast ... could follow anyone . was also using their keyboard though which helped as it has a joystick.

At what time of day did you adjust the Iris Pot? It must be done in full sunlight. That lens is fine for day time. Rory -

I cant find that camera on Sanyo's web site, but from the specs sounds like a high Lux(light) camera. If you want to stick to Sanyo, which will do the job, you will want to look at the VCC-4594 or the VCC-4794 (lower lux). I have used the 4594 for IR Pitch Dark apps using the Extreme CCTV Infrared, they work great - even without IR they area great Day Night cameras. However, you need some kind of illumination. I know nothing of the rainbow lenses, but ive used tamron,Computar, and Fujinon on them with great results. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- VCC-4594 * Over 520 TV Lines * Built-in DSP * Minimum Illumination Down to 0.03 Lux (B/W Mode) and 0.6 Lux (Color Mode) at F1.2 * Intelligent Light Sensing Mode Control to Prevent Color or B/W Hunting * SuperSmart BLC with Multi-zone Analysis * External Control for Color to B/W Switching * Operates Under Non-Visual Light Infrared Lighting Conditions * Internal Sync and 24V AC Line Lock Power for System Application * Internal Setting for Video and DC Type Lens Switching * Three-year Warranty ------------------------------------------------------------------------- VCC-4794 * Over 520 TV Lines * Built-in DSP * Minimum illumination down to 0.01 lux (black & white mode) and 0.45 lux (color mode) at F1.2 * IR Cut Filter Removal System * Intelligent light sensing mode control to prevent color or black & white hunting * SuperSmart BLCâ„¢ with Multi-Zone analysis * External control for color to black & white switching * Operates under infrared lighting conditions * Dual Power 12V DC/24V AC * Three-year warranty -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yep, lets see if anyone replies ... can you guys get free demos though there ..?

I heard they were good, but that was from Reps ... i too would like to hear some real world feedback ... . maybe just one more thing that can go wrong ?? Bosch does have the Exview Day Night PTZ now though, which is cool .. Also there are external boxes that will do the same thing with almost any PTZ brand .. It is however a good selling point for companies that sell only Bosch, but then ... Bosch is still limited in alot of other areas where other companies take over ...

Any opinions of Dedicated Micros, digital sprites?
rory replied to MattVidionics's topic in Digital Video Recorders
agreed CSG ... hey me like A you like B but they in the same league at least ... nothing is perfect, and that certainly includes the GE (which I havent sold any of in a year now BTW) -
yeah Ill see if i can get up early enough tomorrow to take some photos before dark ... Its a CMOS cam so it sucks at night ... ill plan a day this week to do a tour of the island, i think ill need more than the built in 32MB though ... at least for video ... i showed a client the camera, and what it does for the price, he's an importer of Asian stuff, and wants to bring them in and sell them, so might get a deal to work with him selling them here .. yep, just on that one product I can see them selling like hotcakes here ...

why would yah steal from that place, its soo cheap!!!!???? For me it was a privilege to shop at Target ...

yeah that song depressed me a bit .. Did you get my song, "sunnin in da bahamas" ..? anyway, i had bad luck with Itunes so far, it hogs the system resources and basically installs spyware ... i installed it on my PC before to test it out, and it installed a whole load of cranolla stuff ...
