yep, speed wasnt an issue ... seemed fine in that respect. In fact thats where Geo's webcam has issues, needs a fast connection, when using high quality cameras.
-
nevermind, downloaded the console thing .. better quality, though probably just cheap cameras ..? Anyway it works fine, the playback was a little buggy though ... but neat none the less.
-
why is the color all off? Quality is very very low, is there a way to make it better from the web interface?
-
you do realise with the GV250 you can use pretty much any mobo right ... wink:
-
id go Pano for backlighting ...

Ha ha ha .. tell him come on the forum .. we'll take care of him ... -
that, nah, how about a mini wireless link with a custom mini wireless LCD, so you dont even have to open it up . and just focus and adjust the camera view via OSD ... it would have a focus level like the Camera Master, so you dont even need to eyeball the focus .

Meanwhile you can use one of these IP Video Servers for analogue cameras and one of these these IP Video Decoders to convert it back to analogue to input into the Geo, or other, DVR.[/url]

i think he means he has a tinted cover ..?
-
Depends on the manufacturer, I only buy domes now from Manufacturers who I can get boxes of replacement dome covers from, eg. Extreme CCTV / WizKid, and some OEMs. Because they can get scratched easily on some installations, or over time. Not all dome covers are the same fit, so it will generally be Manufacturer dependent.
-
If i remember correctly, NA is the North American (NTSC) version.
-
always use clear dome covers for day night apps .. otherwise you will loose sensitivity at night. As for focus, once you focus it in low light, it should be fine. The only time i would use anything but a clear cover is indoors with a ton of light, but then thats just me
-
and this is the day time ..
-
Probably, though the Dome used above is an OEM True Day Night with IR Cut Filter, and then a seperate WZ12LED. Ive used the WZ46Z2 before, only thing is it has no IR Cut Filter so its washed out colors outdoors where there is alot of green, or other areas that pick up alot of IR from the sun.
-
Either one, if using IR doesnt matter if Day Night or BW ... Day Night would give you color in the day time is all. Ive used Day Night OEM domes (with IR cut filter) with the WZ12LED with good success, see below.

look for something that says recycle ... ive never used them but thats the common PC DVR card terminology to loop the recordings. -
do you want to test out a javascript refresh script i put together for the Geo? Email/PM me ... Rory
-
yep thats it.
-
Used it, wouldnt again. Check out the PowerTellecom new units, im testing now, good quality, doesnt crash... and less expensive than the above mentioned ..
-
Get it without the IR, a normal day night dome with IR Cut Filter, then use a seperate IR such as the WizKid WZ12LED .... otherwise, if it is not viewing outside such as not looking at any trees, grass, bush, etc. you could get away with a Color IR dome (typically dont have Cut Filters - except for Extreme and a couple others), they generally have a small IR range anyway, no matter what they claim, so should be fine.

need tamperproof screw bit for panasonic 474 dome
rory replied to sf1964's topic in Security Cameras
Small flat like he said .. also, those star shaped screws are the ones that come with Asia manufactured Domes, the North American Manufacturers use different Screws, or change them before resale. All OEM resellers should have one they can sell you, or check the local hardware store. -
