shouldnt be the case, I have a few clients recording at 720x480 without any problems. .. i was one of them myself . The video is slightly crisper if anything, which may mean it will pick up any extra pixels that 640x480 doesnt.

or play it and use "CamTasia" Screen Capture to save it as an AVI, it is what I do with the GE DVRs.

i think the cost of the bosch blinkx equipment (which isnt cheap), and the pano equipment, is probaly around the same .. im going to be working on an EXE program for Remote programming of OSD cameras ... shortly .. after this current project - they'll integrate into the Geo also - over the internet / network. Meanwhile, if you send me the camera and the protocols I can get something going quicker. .. most manufacturers will give out the protocols.

for most, but if you want to see in pitch dark, and also in the day, only certain cameras will do that properly .. in other words, if someone says they want to see 60 feet in pitch dark, i tell them straight, they need an Extreme CCTV camera ... otherwise a BW bullet will suffice PS. i take that 60' literally ... the whole FOV ...

yup, noise, whether BW or Color, will cause it to record for longer or more often if using motion record, and larger file sizes regardless - more pixels in the image. Check recording lengths ... are they all the same, and are you recording motion only, or continuous?

Hmmm, so when you say dropping, you mean the remote connection? I would change the router first, then if it still does it, the modem, then if still persists, go after the ISP Though maybe first try another DVR to make sure the DVR is working okay ... What DVR is it?

My old Linksys router, the DHCP just stopped working, it would work at first but kept dropping off. To use the router all the time without failure, i had to assign a local static IP to the PC ... try that and then see what happens.

they say sophisticated surveillance equipment ... sum cheap stuff that can barely do the job .... it didnt do the job in that latest arrest, they were still caught .. ha ha ha ha ..

less than a GV250 2 channel card? Only thing I know even remotely close in price would be a simple web cam .
