Changing Resolutions with Geovision Software
rory replied to RichTJ99's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
there's 2 sections for Resolution, the Video Source, which controls the overall resolution, and then depending on which source you set it to, a recording quality for each camera individually. -
OEMs, you're lucky if you get a year from some of them ..

Changing Resolutions with Geovision Software
rory replied to RichTJ99's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
in the camera set up, goto System Setup, Camera, RECORD CONTROL, Change the quality with the little green arrow, from default 320x240 to ... 720x480 Do it for each camera, or click the Green arrow under the RECORD CONTROL title, and that will make all cameras have the same RECORD CONTROL settings as set for that camera. ive used their sirens plenty of times, but i would never have considered using any camera or IR stuff from them ..
-
maybe its just the PAL versions ? What is the screen size you are using, windows settings, etc ... I tried both 720 non and de interlace and they were the same, with 720 de interlace having no lines in the image when cars or people move in front of it.
-
use the DSP out to a CCTV monitor, you will be impressed. What cameras are you using? With high res cameras there is a difference between 640 and 720 in the recording quality, with 720 being crisper. What version software are you using?
-
well you dont want a bright or powerful IR as it will just produce too much glare, and the location of the IR will make the difference also, it is going to be alot of work, so whoever is doing the install has their hands full - LPR and cheap dont go together ..
-
GE has a 480 TVL color version and a 570tvl BW version.
-
420tvl for LPR??
-
The Deinterlace is good quality on this side, what hardware are you using, monitor, etc? All the Geo settings are the same across the boards as far as resolution.
-
Yeah but their list of supported mobos doesnt say much, ive used it on MSI cheap boards with the GV800 without issues, also, i use the GV250's in Via Mobos ...

also check out: These guys are very very helpful, also check their forum: Trango http://www.trangobroadband.com/ I'd also say check VideoComm but they take 2 months to get back to yah! Either way, COP wireless gear doesnt come close, i used that originally 5 years or so ago, and threw it all in the garbage after it's 1000' claim on only 150' line of sight didnt work properly, or did so with so much interference ...

It's only money .. add a couple UF600'S and EX26LEDs also & you're good to go ...
-
Nope, not doable without switching the hardware. There ARE other upgrades though.

Hey, i think everything i order now, except Extreme CCTV as i get that direct, comes from you guys already, I just buy it through someone else ..

The camera itself does make the difference, regardless of whether it uses an Exview CCD or not. Exview is certainly very good in low light, perhaps the best IMO, but IR is a different thing. Im not a CCD manufacturer so cant say for sure. Let me point you in the direction though .. Here is something from Extreme on their LXR CCD: http://www.extremecctv.com/products/uploads/PDF2/LXR800-Series_TS_060101.pdf "LXR is short for the ELIXIR sensor … or Enhanced Light Integrity for Extended Infra-Red spectral response. This new generation CCD marks a quantum advance in photopic response, IR response and dynamic range. The benefits are clear: no blooming, no streaking, no smearing. The applications are extremely interesting: night vision, vehicle monitoring, high speed surveillance, license plate reading." "These 1/2â€

im with g-men ... the GE (Kalatel) Video Distributors will do it, and they come rackmountable. Kalatel has been doing it from the windows 3.1 days
-
Are you sure you want a 30 degree? What is the width of the camera lens, and FOV?
-
what are the distance specs for the camera .. the length and width of the camera view, what is in the view itself, and how far would you like to illuminate? Best bet would be to buy a new lens kit, which comes with the beam and the filter. But which one depends on the questions above .. and if you have a picture, even better. Rory
