As with ALL vandal domes just dont put them in direct rain, side of building is normally fine. Also its not a TDN dome least the one I used was not, 3.8mm fixed lens, no ICR. You want the varifocal model for the TDN. Dont always believe what you read online

Its a website that sells opinions about cameras That itself is in direct conflict with what this forum is all about.

Whats strange is, the rules have dissapeared LOL It was the forum guidelines thread in each subforum... will have to PM the admin. Basically its no advertising, no spam, no links to stores, no dealer pricing. Only recommend manufacturer products, only ones that do not sell to end users. Eg. if someone posts about a camera from a retail store it gets removed/edited. Nobody should post model numbers of cameras sold by stores, that helps nobody as the product is NOT the manufacturer's model number. Not everyone is going to want to buy from store ## but once the manufacturer's model number is posted then they can source the camera from a distributor in their area or ask for suggestions by PM. A product rebadged by a true manufacturer who also DOES NOT sell to end users, that is also acceptable as long as we know who the true manufacturer is. Where is the bending you see? 2 mods cant catch every post so need the help of every member. BTW I ban spammers every day now, its constant work here.

wheres the removable IR filter? CMOS, 5mm?? Wow.
-
Good specs but every camera I have used with external focus has been crap. Literally knock them too much or even a little with some and they go out of focus. Some of them dont tighten up, or when they they still knock out of focus. Basically the external focus never works good. Best to get a regular one without that feature. Once bitten .. i wont use one again.

KT&C have a range of BW bullets I still use them but mostly for nightclubs. BW is best for night, IR only needed if its too dark. here is a good example: color >> B/W >> Infrared

Adata Apollo, APOHDLED4-SF. Firmware Disaster!!
rory replied to seanfry's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Doesn't sound like a PAL/NTSC issue as you will see something. Options 1-Try a different monitor - the default resolution may be out of range for your monitor. 2-if you can telnet to the port over the network try to get the correct firmware and upload that to it using the network update tool 3-Send back to Adata as they will have the tool to connect to the DVR and update the firmware that way. -
Ah Speco aka the motion blur cameras., ditto.

Yes, but I thought well; I pay for consumer reports monthly online so perhaps it would be of use to him. I don't see it get mentioned much, although sometimes comparison pics from there are posted by other users on this site. it doesnt get mentioned because its advertising ..

You are saying you can configure PSS to accept other IP camera protocols? If so, you da man. no not PSS .. my own remote player.

Have not tried it myself https://ipvideomarket.info/join/Personal%20Pro%20Monthly https://ipvideomarket.info/ Mike, you have to pay to use that website. he is a member here.

this mimics the front panel of the DVR from the 3.3.7 Net SDK .. this is the C++ app edited for English fonts etc. removed some other non essential parts Zip File: 1.10mb - extract and run dhcontrol.exe http://www.bahamassecurity.com/dl/?q=dhcontrol.zip for Win 7 may need to set compatibility to XP for Vista may need to change to a real OS for everything else get XP and call it a day

Thats some strong landscaping lights! Any color camera will work there. check out the KT&C mini 550TVL color bullet KPC-VBN190NHWX - Its so small a thief will never even see it. maybe get the KT&C OR a color only dome. eg; CNB VFL-20s or similar and put the IR camera where it is needed.

it is going to vary from one to the next. difference in cameras being color or BW, noise, rain etc will decide what the image sizes will be. Also if you set the bitrate lower it will effect the image quality and size, if its set to CIF instead of D1, etc. But for example you can say approx 2 weeks continuous record with 4 cameras @ 7fps D1 default bitrate and 500GB. Motion record only will get longer recording times. Eg. Im getting 16 days right now on a 4 channel .. I have 1 camera that is color 24/7, 1 camera that is BW 24/7, and 2 cameras that are BW at night and color in the day. Encoding for all is D1, 7fps, 1024 bitrate. Ive had a couple cameras off and on for a couple days though as well, and a couple of them are low quality - so basically expect 14 days on average with 4 cams D1 7fps and 500GB with the dahua. Higher quality cameras will get less time also. BTW frame rate matters alot, if that was real time D1 record it would eat up that 500GB in a few days easy.

ok thanks.

Yeah better all channel remote playback dont worry though if they dont make it I will make it gotta be a way to playback in Substream and not Mainstream !!
-
But with PSS 4.05 it can support 3MP so it's just hardware limitation for Dahua Hybrids/NVR so its not the software but the hardware instead? if so thats good to know Otherwise i have a new SDK I can try your IP camera if you want? But my software is connecting in MainStream ..
-
perhaps

Dude they are basic in every sense of the word, compared to a desktop operating system. heck my phone can make a phone call, so what? the mobile OS are limited - that is fact so you need to deal with it. Go get a real computer and stop kidding yourself.
-
Not really, Android is a basic mobile OS. Dont expect much from it. Best to get a netbook with Windows if you want to do anything powerful.
-
not designed for IP cameras but still good to know it works with them somewhat
-
Many DVRs have Android software now. Although its going to be very basic compared to a desktop app. Eg. This is an example on a Dahua DVR. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQGzF67F1Us That video is from the manufacturer. I installed it on a clients phone but didnt get to use it to any extent, it did work though.

Takes me 1-2 weeks for anything from the US But then we have no choice .. asia would probably be a month+ and cant buy the bulk orders they want.

Is there a "best in class" type guide for IP cameras?
rory replied to Digiscan's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Only thing I would like to add to this thread is this, Please read the forum guidelines before posting. Post only suggested retail/list price if you must post a price. For example: the list price for the Vivotek IP8332 is $540.00 so that is the price that should be mentioned when discussing that product in the open forum. -
Yes you can power them from the camera power also.
