Its just a dual page quad, so wont come with all the bells and whistels of a mux or real DVR system. For a basic home DIY system should suffice, though I have logged onto another users system using this, and the camera quality was horriblem, just very inexpensive cameras really. I think he eventually switched the cameras for better ones and just stuck with the same system, it was a year ago now so cant remember exactly. It will only record in quad mode, which also means very low quality if you bring a recorded camera up in full view. Not sure why it wont record in sequence mode though. Also on the remote side, it will only show as it does on the local monitor, 4 cameras at one time, not all 8. When you are ready, let us know, should be able to get you a better system from someone on this forum, at a good price. Rory

actually video tech has none. Also, used black housings I painted down here in the tropics for 5 years no fans though, no problems. One example is the EX82 before they started using fans in them. Actually never used a fan in any of the GE housings and they run great, even in 90 degrees all year round sun shine. I may just velcro a 24VAC cheap fan in these anyway ... since yah mentioned it coop

has anyone tried splicing the 2 monitor cables, then splicing it onto the camera cable ..?

Pelco has a 2 camera screen splitter also .. not sure what it does but its only monochrome anyway ... may work though ..

i think i can digitally zoom into the chasis number anyway

foe real ... I asked Extreme about a PTZ (for oceanside with IR etc out to 500-800') but even using their Kits i need to source the Motor and other stuff myself .. which is no good Course i wasnt looking at the Moondance .. but then thats not IR anyway right ..? I need salt air corosion resistant with Dual UF600s .. will buy 2 of them .. ready built and tested .. just someone name a cost .. analogue outout as converting with existing Acti Servers to Wireless IP. .. i havent quoted them yet .. until i get a price on them .. oh yeah, this is being serious .. i do need a price if anyone there wants to source a ready made solution .. thanks

You can send Video Loss, Record Error, Disk Full and I/O Error, Intruder Event, Missing Object, Unattended Object, and POS Loss Prevention Event, Not sure on the shedule thing .. Also, the last thing, just set them up as a limited user. Rory

dunno, was something you see on dem western movies edit - yeah looked something like that .. i only see it sideways at a distance and close up from the barrel looking at the camera though ..
