$500, i pay $1000 for most of mine But really the CCTV cameras at $500 are going to normally be Wide Dynamic Day Night Cams, Industrial Power Supply boards with Automatic Voltage Regulation built on the power board and fused. Regardless of that, it is a whole different technology. But it is true with CCTV, you get what you pay for. If you get it on special, well thats good too

they claim exview but only 0.5 lux, so specs dont add up, exview is one of the lowest lux color CCDs you can get. They may be new and get SuperHad and Exview mixed up though...

60pps. If you set it to motion record it will use smart motion recording meaning if only 1 camera is connected then you get real time, 2 cameras, near real time, etc, it auto adjusts depending on which cameras are picking up motion detection. If you ALSO have it set to time lapse it will record all the time, so it will be slower, in other words it would then divide 60pps by 16 cameras. as for the camera, the tint is your problem, they will always degrade the image, especially if there is not 100% light. Sanyo VCC-5774M 1/3'' High Resolution Color ''CUBE'' Camera
rory replied to Jasper's topic in Security Cameras
Its still a cheap camera, there is no way denying that, specs dont mean anything these days, you should know that by now. Its a mini camera, you dont get any cheaper than those, which is why you cant expect any kind of real decent image from them. -

running rg59 in conduit that has 110 and 480 already there
rory replied to griffonsystems's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
i guess you could try it, then if issues use an equaliser amp. -
yeah if your router crops out, like mine did, the DDNS server may not work at times, and then the DVR may have issues as the CenterV wont connect .. so static would be a better idea, or run a DDNS server on your Remote Server and direct to the Internet.

I wouldnt run RG59 with high voltage, just asking for interference issues. Always run it at least 1 foot away from high voltage and lighting, sometimes needs to be more. Our biggest troubleshooting was from where electricians run the cable over a high voltage cord, having to go back in the ceiling looking for that is no fun. -
while we are in the test bench, jasper, you should have stayed online last night, the Cops raided that night club!! Arghhh , uzis and all .. they were wrong also, they were trying to say the licence was expirered, downloadind an hours worth of video now. ..

yeah my bad, 128kbps lets put it this way, 4 cameras on 256kbps is decent, 128kbps with 4 cameras is slow and can cause alot of error messages with the default Geo Browser software, which is why with my custom software I handle alot of those errors, and i use delays which tends to get around those errors, at least as low as 96kbs upload we have with DSL here with one account, which only connects if I tell it that there are 4 cameras, and even so, it takes a long time to connect. The site never loads on the browser software at all. ive also been able to load 30 cameras from a single site with multiple connections in a 30 way multi view, with a 256Kbps set upload speed at the site. But the Geo browser based control just doesnt handle connections well, like others I have used. In other words, its a slow activeX. The Multi Cam loads it differently all together which is why I said that would work for sure. Rory

It will be way too slow for the browser software by the way, unless you are going to get a 128mbps modem (which will still be very slow) You may get away with the MultiCam client software though. Rory

Andy, you worked at Geovision in Taiwan?
