Well when using infrared, the lower you get the camera, and higher you point it, and the more reflective material you have in the foreground, the better the image is. Also, if you have an eave in the image can cause some issues where it darkens out the foreground in areas that it would normally be much brighter.

only thing I can see from digital day night cameras like this is. Same Lux Level. Difference is in low light have it switch to BW to remove the noise. thats it. Otherwise you need a TRUE day night camera, which will be lower lux in color, and even lower in BW, and also less noise while in color mode. Another thing that will help would be to lower the camera physically, or at least cut out the eave. Rory

Sounds like fun :-0 Seriously, I wanna find that program that creates an EXE from an image file so yah can reproduce (without having to write the program myself) used to be able to format, load windows, load all software get it all tweaked etc, then delete the product key from the reg, create the image and EXE, burn to CD and yah got a recovery CD. Each PC user would have to enter a valid key to complete windows set up, but all is ready to go, once they are using the same hardware. Anyone know the name of that software please, i had it before just cant rememeber the name now its been a few years .. thanks

thanks! Actually there was 1 beep first, delay, then 3 beeps, delay, then 2 beeps .. so now im confused Its maybe then a monitor issue, though that light is on, orange, saying there is no PC attached. Could be maybe the monitor cable got "hit". Could also be a memory issue. Well looks Like i need to grab it and bring it back here to trouble shoot. Not sure if that first beep was long or short .. oh well .. Rory

Hi I dont know who sells it online, I buy from Manufacturers or distributors myself. Someone else on the forum may be able to jump in and recommend where to purchase it, im in the Bahamas .. I cant post retail prices as I only know wholesale pricing .. No online stores really, maybe the only one I do visit on an off is Spytown. They dont have an 8 channel yet as far as I know, supposedly working on that and a 16 channel, for a while now. You can check out the WebGate Inc 8 channel which is in the same range as this, well more $$ but a mid range DVR like this one. WebGate is sold under HUNT in the US, and a couple others I cant remember off hand. Are you and end user? Rory

Hi Where are you located? This IS the best 4ch featured DVR in that price range. It sells under various names: Uriel (TM4) Eclipse CCTV (Nubix) Lexion (LDS-i400)

For video comm tech, wireless video transmitters (not wireless IP), yes need 1 TX and 1 RX for each camera, as it is real time motion video. You could use a mux on 1 side and a demux on the other end as well, though it wont be 100% real time motion. Its CCTV quality, the highest you will get will depend on the camera you use, and it will be the same as if you have the camera right next to the monitor. Where are you located, approximately? Rory

Check out Computar. I take it you mean: High quality neutral density filter for camera back-focus adjustments; Protective case and instructions included. http://www.cbcamerica.com/cctvprod/ganz/access/man_cfb1.pdf Adjusts field of view - assists in determining the required focal length http://www.cbcamerica.com/cctvprod/computar/access/access_pdf/vm300data.pdf http://www.cbcamerica.com/worldoffices.htm#Europe Pick a location

Budget is the main thing, once you know what that is, then post it over here. Otherwise can range from $500-$5000.

there is nowhere to leave to .. this is a small country. But what I was talking about has nothing to do with my issues living here.

Do you mean this DVR? http://www.cctvfactory.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=cmctech&Product_Code=DVRT3&Category_Code=dvr If so dont expect too much from a budget DVR, in fact it comes with a IR Remote which is rare. According to the specs it is real time in low resolution, in multiplexed mode (time lapse) it is higher res, which is also normal for most stand alone DVRs that claim real time with non windows OS. CF backup, Motion Detection (though you said didnt work?), IR Remote (didnt work far?), specs are impressive for that price - for a budget DVR that is. Anyway, contrary to the advertising on that web page, those cameras are really junk, but if thats all you can afford, thats what you get for that price. Best camera on there value for money will end up being this. I have a couple of them myself from another OEM company, but I dont sell them to my clients. http://www.cmctechnology.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=cmctech&Product_Code=UC8555&Category_Code=WATERPROOFBULLET Anyway, I dont think they are out to rip anyone off, its just mostly DIY gear they sell, which is okay for budget installations. I always tell clients like it is though myself. Their 16 channel DVR is alot cheaper than a decent 4 channel DVR - FYI.

right on track scott :: edited for sensitive people :: Also check this, they had what a couple rapes and murders in a 3 or 4 day period, some people died .. okay say there wasnt a hurricane, there probably still would have been tons of rapes and murders and people dying anyway.

I tested MileStone, LuxRiot, and a few others, and Lux Riot knocked MileStone off the map. Trial version, perhaps, but I doubt the full version looked much different. Network is a network, plain and simple, no matter what speed and security you have - to rely on a PC network for security IS asking for trouble. The cameras when you made those comments were the same quality as they are now. And its got nothing to do with Opposite views, its just how it is. I use various brands, and still do, i tell it like it is. I have no obligation to any manufacturer at all, none of them are paying my bills. I dont want to see you go, not at all, just cut back on the direct bosch advertising is all. There is more to CCTV than 1 manufacturer. Whats the 2nd point? -
Their Hidden cameras rock though at least for their real life looks as an alarm device (not neccassarily the camera though->GBC), and I did like their PTZ and Exview Box cam (Kalatel), great quality.
