check the back focus also, if it has one? focus it in early evening when the sun is going down. take it off the DVR to get the real image. What are you using to focus it on? TV, CCTV Monitor, Portable Monitor, PC Monitor? Are you focusing it at the camera or having 2 people do it ..? Sure you have the right lens ... CS or C mount?

data should know, hes the fiber guy, doing this with active cat5 is simple also.
-
looks like it just needs to be focused ... if you send me a plane ticket id be happy to come and do it for yah ))

talking NVt active stuf right .. cause those cheap baluns never work properly ..

by a cheap 12VDC relay from radio shack ... a power supply, and then tie in the output to the relay .. the signal output from the DVR triggers the relay which sends 12VDC to the siren. Most Sirens have built in Siren Drivers these days, unless you want it without it. If you buy a siren without a siren driver, then you could buy a voice driver which "talks" as well. Either way you still need the relay and power supply. Some DVRs may even have the relay and 12VDC output built in.

check this 32" one out ... geez they dropping the prices, or they making them cheaper is all?? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1352305&Sku=H45-3202

i would run 1x RG59 siamese, and then a small multi pair UTP as well. That way if you decide to go PTZ or use UTP (or even just baluns), you are set.

no room in london for parking lots .. i remember back when i was in london in the early 90's cathing the tube into the city and the train being stopped between stations due to bomb scares alot, IRA or Iraq War related at the time as that was the first gulf war .. the hotel used to have us search the place for bombs!! Well yah know i was 19 and ready to go .. Hope everyone is okay from this forum, and condolences to the victims and families ... im sure the british will track the bastids down! -
Hi, you can purchase them from any distributor. These arent really infrared Cameras, they make those also, but this is specially designed for licence plate capture, nothing more. there doesnt need to be any light, the infrared takes care of that at night, at this location at night it is too dark to get the plate with any other camera. Yes, these guys are very expensive ..$2K plus .. In case you guys were wondering ... T - truck, SD = Rental.. Rory

Wireless Video Protection

wear a mask .. then they cant see yah -
not really, maybe some of them ... but they most have to slow down at the gate and show ID .. but the camera does do higher speeds though .. this is the REG-L though, designed more for the toll booths, etc, they have other REG cameras for the streets and dual lanes. Also this is just a regular PC DVR, not their REG-Alert system ... but you can still play back the plates ..

some are pretty fast ..but its a security booth so not too fast ..

Wireless Video Protection
rory replied to securitymonster's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
Encryption or scrambling helps block it, but with the 900mhz frequency not sure if encrpyption is available: http://www.videocommtech.com/index.php?SCREEN=view_catalogue_level3&id=10&series_ID=30 I have only seen (at least in the VideoComm line) video scrambling for security available in their 5.8Ghz frequency: http://www.videocommtech.com/index.php?SCREEN=view_catalogue_level2&add=edit&prod_ID=10 Im no wireless expert though just going by the specs they have ... this is the Full Motion Real time Wireless Video area, which is different from Wireless Networks/IP. Mentioning 900mhz Im sure this is what you were talking about right? Rory -

Differences Between Luxriot and Video Insight?

not unless it gives me infrared to 100' as well, and has 2 seperate cameras controlled by a photocell -
i got no side on my pc ... its not old though ...
-
most of the big boys are still 60fps. Once you get a grip on speed not being such an issue especially while 5fps per camera and even lower, is fine for security (we aint making no movie yah know), then you would see the other features that make them what they are ... cant speak for march but speaking for GE anyway .. still all of them need to drop da price!
-
that dvr goes for over $3K first cost to dealers .. if they really took $1200 for a DVR that can retail over $5k then its gotta be stolen .. or its broke ..
-
must be stolen to let it go for that price ...
-
WaveJet from GE ... and dont forget, H.264 ..
