30fps across 48channels??
-
It shows only 1 at a time (switching) not multiple at same time Use the RCA TV out on the Radeon Video Card, it works great .. just have your DVR start up in Full Screen Multiview mode, and in the TV output of the video card, i have it working here perfectly. Also the DSP card RCA out will give you multiview real time up to 480fps of higher quality like the standalones.. you can have them boot on start up also. Done both ways both work great.

thats real annoying, do they have any real software as well as the crappy browser based??

anyone used a SIS chipset with GEO ... would be with the GV800 and DSP card ... will it work? Cant find any intel chipsets on this island, not with an AGP slot and in a micro ATX form anyway. But i found a MSI with a SIS chipset. Supports Intel P4s.

im using it with a gv800 and soft ver 7.0, 2.93ghz celleron, radeon 128mb, 256mb ddr, no problems with 8 cams ... geo's site sais SiS is fine, its via to steer from ... i had the via first, even worked fine with the gv800, but not the DSP so we switched the board for the sis. no problem mon ..

What DVR do you have, and what size hard drive. The competitor's DVR may have much larger hard disk space like a 500GB. There are other factors like whether they are outdoors or indoors, etc. Like allen said above they can record if there is noise in the image, and this can also occur indoors under low lighting with cheap cameras. If its just a generic 9 channel DVR maybe its the AvTech model which is really not great motion recording. Also its probably a couple thousand $$ less than the ATV. Ofcourse that ATV model looks like a pretty generic design that you find rebadged out of asia ... so who knows ??

ground aint gonna stop all that high voltage messing up the wireless signal through the airwaves, but it may be far enough away or they dont mind the lines

25 fps realtime recording across 6-8 cameras ?
rory replied to paranoid's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
geo has a 4 channel card with hardware compresion. Dont know what it is like. But if you use the DSP card, or the new combo cards, you get the standalone quality for live display on a TV or CCTV monitor, in real time (480fps). Many PC DVRS now have the DSP card as well. Actually after working with several DMs the GE DVR kicks its butt in stablity, ease of use, display speeds, and ofcourse, quality. -
Well the SiS Chipset Mobo is using an Intel CPU the Socket 478 Intel and SiS chipset mother boards are the same price anyway, just couldnt find one down here.

looks like interference to me, see all the high high voltage just feet away

more than likely it is just darker in that area that it is focused far away .. not as much light in the image as the closer wider shots. Daytime should be clear though once it is focused properly.

the yahoo and MSN places generally dont allow linking from external sites though .. there are a few others that may do it but i dont know offhand, maybe check google ...

and some of the worst actions happen after a few drinks .. -
no but if you have a web site normally it comes with FTP. Free way to do it is to get a free web site space like angelfire, etc. Not sure if you can show the images outside of their domain but at least you could link to it or a web page with the image included.

hmm .. reason wont start i guess since the fan is mashed in and the PC chip is not connecting .. guess its down to the jeep shop on monday
-
and it was great performance, no lesser than Geo or others, and best multisite remote video software I have seen for any DVR .. they are lacking considerably in their playback features though. Geo has some great playback and local site features though, and they do have the Control Center Software for remote of multi site cameras, just for the average person the Iview Remote Multi site Software is much easier.
