If it was there it would be in the Programs list under "Microsoft Visual Studio" Doesnt sound like that is the issue then ... check though for Script Debugging on Start Up. Im not familiar with Windows 2000 but maybe someone else cane help as to where to look for that .. definetely check CTRL-ALT-DEL and see if there is anything that resembles it, then also if you are familiar with RegEdit, chedk the Local Machine and Local User and Microsoft, Windows, Current Version, and Run or Run Service .. May also just need to reinstall the GEO software .. maybe it is just corupt .. if so and reinstalling remedies it, could mean some other problems like bad HDD .. anyway, im not a GEO pro so best check with the other guys on that. Well seems you have it the other way around. Time lapse at night at a slow speed of say 1-5fps, and motion detection during the day. Regardless of how you set up the night time, most color cameras will pixelize under low lighting, especially low lux cameras, and cheap color cameras (eg Bullets), and this will cause continous recording if set to motion detection, on most cameras and DVRs. Best bet would be to do motion detection when you have alot of light as that is when the camera performs at its best, and just time lapse at night, you will find you will get much much more time. And also, like said above, lower the fps and you will get longer either way. I have a GE DVR 640GB with 10 cameras, at 5fps, on motion only, indoors only though which makes a huge difference, doing almost 6 months of recording. Now, these are also BW cameras which do not experience the same problem with pixelisation as color cameras, and when it is dark inside this location, its pitch dark anyway, so it doesnt record. Just a time comparison. Also, what is your total recording space, as you mentioned raid, isnt that then split in 2? Ssshhhh, Im still learning about raid Rory -

Make sure if they have some Microsoft Visual Studio installed (Visual C++, Visual Basic, Etc) to turn off Script Debugging as any little error in any windows program will invoke this type of message. Course could just be win2000 issue .. never used it .. -
Okay, I dont mess with Dish or BE, but, yes, they hack the Dish cards, and you can get BE and Dish, with a triple LNB dish, just like with Penzat. BEcause of the rumors of Penzat on the way out, FTA etc for Dish and BE, most people down here, myself NOT included, have purchased cable descramblers, they go for around $60 on ebay, or locally around $200. Since our monopoly Cable Company, itself steals signals from US Network Stations, or did, I believe now they made their money they can afford to buy it legit now, they really would not have much of a case in court down here, especially since copyright laws are not properly enforced here. Cable Founder is ex signal stealer from up in CA by the way and came down here broke, got local investors and gov to put the money up and started stealing signals, then moved onto other areas of the caribbean as he is still making tons here and doesnt have to work. HE signed something giving him exclusive to C able in the Bahamas, and they called it C able B ahama s! Interesting - from http://www.ebloggy.com/blog.php?username=Bahamian "Phil Keeping was the president of Cable Bahamas. He started out in Canada by 'catching' satellite signals and selling Cable to remote towns and villages on the Atlantic Coast in Canada. His companies there were called 'Regional' and 'Eastern'. He arrived on our shores a virtual bankrupt. He was funded by prominent Bahamians. Take a look at the board of Cable Bahamas, and you will see one name in particular that is not like the others. Not only was he propped up and funded, but the shenanigans didn't end. He got an exclusive monopoly for Cable provision, with a long list of promises of services, and several ways of opting out of those promises. Ont top of that, remember how they were caught red-handed stealing satellite signals. It wasn't an aberration in their way of doing business. We went through a long and tortuous road of Cable Bahamas shares being 'sold' and then there was Persona and Columbus and various shell games when Keeping announced that he had divested his shares in Cable Bahamas. It was all a shell game. Keeping's bum boy from way back was Brendan Paddick, who was at Regional and Persona and different incarnations of the companies that controlled Cable Bahamas. Ostensibly, Keeping went to Barbados to play his shell game there while leaving his minions behind at Cable Bahamas. Cable Bahamas has a stink on it a mile wide. But as mentioned in a previous blog entry, it is the only way that we do business here, because Fortune 500 companies get pissed off with our practices, and we are left with the carpetbaggers and scam artists, who do business by enriching themselves and their Bahamian friends and providing goods and services as a vehicle for doing that."

I agree, right now people are looking for the cheapest PC available, especially with the cost of everything else going up. You can find a PC at TigerDirect for $250 now, brand new. Sure its not super fast, but hey, it will do word, browse the web, outlook express and MSN messanger .. what more does the average user need. Same goes for DVRs, most clients dont need all the features that require a super fast PC.

no software though ..

not just geo, Iview, DigiVue, Eclipse, etc .. had issues with the others myself on different configs, even 1 eclipse wouldnt work at all on 3 different Intel P4 PCs ... so generally depends on the PC and Components used .. Id say these are issues you have to deal with, unless you use a stand alone DVR .... otherwise always use the same parts and you will be okay .. i just installed a GV800 in a TigerDirect SystemMax built PC, mini case and all, DSP card also, installed without a flaw. Im using version 7.0 though so not sure if that makes a difference ..

i had that problem with an AMD and iview .. you are using intel right? even when they say no issues, it normally is ..

when installing or servicing CCTV in the 3rd World, watch out for those live 120 Volts Exposed Wires hanging out the wall and touching the ladder, especially when you are on the ladder and grab a hold of a metal conduit to keep yourself stationary!!!!! ARghhh, it still hurts, my leg from where it started, hand where it left, and my butt from landing on my behind after being "jumped" off the ladder When i used to install alarms here, i would get buzzed at least every other job, not to mention the 2 holes in my head from nails in the attic .. ahhh to live in the tird wurld wid palm trees, white sand, and tings .. Yeah dats right, we have no "enforced" codes in the tird world ..

i posted on a reply to the media in the bahamas on a bahamas forum ...and "here" means the bahamas forum i posted it on ------------------------------------------- Re: Is the Media to blame? Honestly in the Bahamas, they report what the prosecutors office gives them, they dont follow it up to investigate any more, and if they do get something else it comes from the police liason officer. Take a look at the same story from each online news agency, www.thenassauguardian.com , www.jonesbahamas.com , and for the tribune's thing, check out www.bahamasb2b.com (just look for the tribune's articles) .. they are all exact ... its what they are told nothing more, nothing less. We have a government that tellls us what they want us to know, plain and simple, whether it is correct or not. Ive been wronged by the local media I know exactly where they get their info from, the buls****** in the prosecutors office .. its called controlled media, our ministry of information .. much like the OLD iraq!! Oh yeah, and im one of the fools that reads the local news with interest, even though in the back of my mind I know its run by the ministry of information, at least as far as where they get their info from .. they never heard of SOURCES over here .. yah know .. Our gov is rubbing shoulders too close to Castros Regime, fellow bahamians yall need to wake up and see whats going on .. .. $1000 speeding fines (going 26mph), next will be hanging in rawson court for smoking cigarrettes ... then execution for spitting .. but wait we can add a couple more liquor stores and then get some cuban test medicine to fix our alchy problem .. yeah that'll work !! peace and forget castro and the cuban government ... FREEDOM YEAHHHHH BOIII .. we aint no suckers and we wont stand for indiots running our country . ... this aint no regime YET so dont play like it .. they are rubbing shoulders with the likes of Sadaam Husain and making us FREE bahamians look like morons to the rest of the world who denounce communism and who fight for freedom .. AND dont bring that cuban untested medicine this way either .. they can test it on their own military regime ... Yall worrying about haitians too much, they tryng to keep peeps minds on that while they slip into bed with the terrorists (cuban regime) .... who are way worse ... only letting yall know its time to wake up and smell the grass, cause it stinks of regime, death, rot, and decay .. There's no conspiracy theory, i'm only "adding" to what the media corporation has already admitted to ... If you dont believe it, start reading the news paper Also, dont be surprised if everything we say on here isnt being monitored by our local gov and others .... when they a come a knocking ill make sure have my congo type defence system on armed away ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- And what I just posted there, If this WAS Cuba I would be executed at least the following day, and our government is sleeping with them now. They wont even listen to the US or any other 1st world country anymore, they just do what "they" wanna do, its rediculous. Same party as in the 70s-90s which was run by one big drug dealer who was the Prime Minister, and we all know they are still all involved in the same thing, most of them cant even vacation in the US as they are wanted for drug dealing .. its a shame the smart people in this country dont have a "real" say on what happens here ... cause we would clean this place right up! Actually our PM is sick and been in and out of hospital, and they are lying to us about how sick he is, he even couldnt trust his own countries doctors he had to tfly to the US! Guess who the Acting PM is, a baptist preacher woman with no experience in politics!!

well the dea, coastguard, and nayy are here, but mostly for drugs and tings .. just as support really. I mean, i was mor on the cuban subject but while your at it, I know entire neighboorhoods here that are nothing but drug communities that simply need to be bulldozed! The government all knows this and every single drug area in the country, but does nothing. They never heard of Raids and Stings down here...
