  1. Well if you are going by that one I wouldnt bother, that was one of the cameras set to 8fps at the time .. the Jeep was set to the max though, which is the one to go by .. And if you really are going to go by the 3 year old PC im using .. old 30GB HDD .. 256 OLD DDR, then thats up to you ..
  2. It was very smooth and fast on my PCs I have viewed them on .. Trust me, I have used Stand Alones for 4 years, and the PC DVR beats it in miles with speeds of recording.
  3. Hmm, ive never seen what you are talking about so I cant help yah there .. Except transmission issues can cause jumpy images some times.
  4. Whatever you do, stay away from Domes with built in IR ... use a seperate source of IR, or use some motion lighting. Bullets for some reason dont seem to have the same problem and the ones VST listed would work, but if you want vandal proof, your only choice for a good set up is a vandal proof BW or Day Night Dome (w/ IR Cut Filter), and a seperate source of lighting. If you dont mind the washed out color in the day, and less crisp BW image at night, eclipse has some cheap day night Vandal Proof Domes also, available in low res, or high res varifocal - I sell these for the real budget jobs.
  5. and you think the MN will be faster .. ??
  6. hmmm, 2Ghz Celleron, 256MD DDR, 30GB HDD, 128 Radeon Generic, no jerkin' over here .. .
  7. The Higher resolution cameras do make a difference on a PC Dvr.
  8. Would be alot cheaper Well actually the WZ12 is pretty inexpensive, but then you may have the issue with glare ..
  9. Once there is not too much Infrared, it should be fine. Its all about adjusting the IR so there is not too much glare. How about some motion detector lighting?
  10. Same domes I think, at least the housing and general types, specs seem slightly different .. But Nuvico has the outdoor versions also. http://nuvico.com/product/detail.html?product_id=45 http://www.dvrsurveillance.com/Surveillance_cameras/SC5712_TDN_dome.htm Im hoping I will be able to get some nuvico pricing on Monday, will wait to find out if they will sell to the Bahamas
  11. id stay way from the domes with integrated IR though, they tend to reflect too much IR when its on, inside the dome ... also that has no IR Cut Filter. Id use a BW or Day Night (wizkid doesnt have any decent day nights, great BWs though) Dome, then add one of these: http://www.wizkidoptotech.com/products/index.cfm?img=9
  12. Ive used the GE Kalatel RSM-1600 in the past ... works well, but you only stream 1 camera at a time. Basically video is not like broadband, more like what was on the news channels during the initial Iraq war coverage.

    Pro Video Bullet needed fast

Thats about right then, the UF500 is a totally different beast from the 100. ... Also, what beams are used on both IRs? Both are 30 degrees. Hmm, I have to make a diagram for that one too then ... i did send the above one to the extreme tech I was talking to, and he said it was approx right .. ill do one for 840nm and 1100nm, as well as the UF100 versions ... tomorrow.
