do you just want to disable the alt and ctl key altogether??
-
yep, buying that lens alone can cost anywheres from $200+
-
Personally id got the ExtremeCCTV IR route .. Basically the IR Lamps are normally made up of the bulb, and the lens, as well as other things like special power boards, waterproof and rust free housings, etc. Depends on the model and the performace of it.

Camera 3 is the Provideo CVC-320WPS B/W Camera, 0.1 lux ... works well, but we all want more dont we It IS a dark area, thats why I have the BW camera there, and thats why im testing these cameras there to see which of them performs the best. Now to wait until the day time and see how that is. The provideo was the hardest to install, the eclipse Dome was a breeze, and the Bullet just took 1 screw!
-
Camera 2 is the Eclipse Cheap Color bullet, basically a regular color but even a little more low light actually .. http://xtreme1.gotdns.com/if4.htm use IE ...or download the software: http://www.bahamassecurity.com/uploads/LiveVueDemo.zip

log onto my Iview DVR, camera 1 is the Provideo Dome, which by the way doesnt switch to BW like the Bullet does, but it does have a switch to make it into a BW camera. The Eclipse low res Day Night fixed lens is camera 4 .. it does switch to BW but doesnt have an IR Cut filter.

ok log on to the iview ..

yep, and it was 4am in the morning ...! apparently it was someone that knew my dad from the island ... the other smaller island that is, long island (actually its bigger but anyways ..) .. I was just lucky .. then again, when I got my car back from being fixed, 4 months later, 2 weeks after i got it on the road i got hit by someone doing 100mph+ and they split the car in 2, i had a seat belt on that time and its a righ hand drive, the whole left side was gone .... oh well, bough the jeep after that and been in dept ever since!!!!

Ahhh, you need to ask them about coca cola in the Bahamas, and we can work together on something
-
especially if it takes 2 1/2 hours to get there! That had to suck .. did they pay cash at least

Quality is good, page looks professional as far as design. Loads fast. Only 2 things i see, though Im sure it could probably be customised: The video is too wide, and each time you click on a channnel to enable it reloads the activeX. Other than that, video quality is good. Overall a nice product from the looks of it .. from da "rock" dreddy ... Oh yeah, reminds me of the Dedicated Micros IP DVR, except this ones web interface looks alot more professional and loads faster.

its the distance from the cameras view.

Hmmm, yah dont want to see the hospitals down here then .. he he he ... my first major car accident where my head went through the wind screen, i hitched a ride to the hospital as i knew if id waited for the ambulance I would have died ... as it would have either taken too long, or taken me to the wrong hospital .. the cheap(ER) one where they have nothing that works .. especially the cat scan machine. I know kid thats brain damaged now because they took too long to have the cat scan as it wasnt working, and they didnt treat him until like 24 hours later ... he then had to fly to miami every so often to get treatment ... the hospitals here just dont cut it .. it costs a fortune to stay aline down here .. mosyt people that die from accidents etc, do so from no insurance or the ambulance comes to late, or the hospital doesnt have the right equipment working ..

well, at least the rats there dont carry rabies or other tropical deceases

Yep, i just wish I had more cameras .. ;-0 With the IE thing, also make sure your ISP isnt blocking Port 80, if you are having a problem using it remotely. If you cant connect to IE locally either then thats a different thing. Some stand alones just dont have browser based software, especially some of the cheaper units like HiSharp, etc. The PC based DVRs definately are on top when it comes to networking the DVR and streaming video options/features.

maybe its just a big fat rat! here, ive watched the stray packs of dogs at 5 am jump the wall, grab my garbage and run with it down to road, you can find it the next day all in pieces a mile down the road! The rats arent quite that strong so they just rip the garbage apart where it is ...

he he .. actually its the land lords garden and they have a gardener every 2 weeks .. Its actually pretty clean considering the amount of leaves that normally drop .. another hurricane may be coming so it may take out a few more trees this year

Yes, not sure the amount but it goes far, you can use my demo on my site, just download: (requires XP Sp1 at least) - select the Iview 8ch card: http://www.bahamassecurity.com/uploads/LiveVueDemo.zip if you get compression error download: http://www.bahamassecurity.com/uploads/ICSetup.exe Its 6am here so would be best in the day on the cheap cameras I am using, but basically just right click, it will show the zoom in and out ... i have camera control such as color, brightness etc, disabled for the demo user, though you can zoom all you want or for a simple browser load you can view it here: http://xtreme1.gotdns.com/if4.htm ActiveX must be set to prompt or enable for it to work, kind of wide as its not sized just 100%, there is actual browser software this is just my own simple version.

Thats probably it, I have it in the jeep, I dont want to be a statistic on my own camera system though as its 6am ... ;-0 Basically anything beyond 50' you wont make out much. It also depends on the lighting and other things as to how far from the camera you will see clear. You would get better coverage mounting the cameras seperate from each other. Rory

Whats a hand phone?? It has Pocket PC software though so any device that supports Pocket PC will work, liek the Ipaq. Quaility depends on the card you get, as well as the video card, though they are all Mpeg4/Wavelet/Jpeg, selectable. 640x480 is the highest on the standard cards. The Stand alone supports higher resolution. I have a digiflower side by side with the Iview, the Digiflower running at 740x480 MPEG4+ is no different than the Iview at 640x480. The Iview has more features in the case of this paticular digilower card which software is actually EclipseCCTV. Rory

yeah Ive done the silicon thing alot ... I live with at least 1 tube ... yeah they sell them here .. just thought maybe the stainless steel housing would hold up as good as the stainless steel screws have .... I mean I havent had a problem in the past, just havent used any PTZs or vandal proof housings on the beach yet .. its just 90 feet from the water by the way, but during the hurrican season it is more like 10 feet ... and during the actual hurricane ... well i take them down if the client pays for it .. this one did the last 3 we had last year .. it was up, down, up, down ...... arghhhh, one after the other ..!

whats the name of that stuff that is kind of like decorative flex conduit, to hide the camera cables?? Is it called Liquid Tight Flex Conduit, and which one do we use?? Also, anyone use the Ganz housings in Salt Air Enviroments? This is going right on the beach. Or should I just stick to the GE ABS housings I have used in the past, and switch the screws to stainless steel .. thanks Rory

Dont know about y3K but COP is just another OEM importer of very cheap Products ... so they arent anything special ... But if you are targeting the low end market then they should work okay .. over this side though they are considered a stay away product, I used them for the first products I ever sold ..... What they do is have a main branch in Asia that buys wholesale and then sends them off to the reps in the UK and the USA ...same as Eclipse CCTV in Miami does .. except I touch eclipse products while I wont go near COPs anymore .. at least on this side of the globe ... Rory
