thats what I was wondering, its got be better than the GE ultraview i imagine .. which rings in around $350-370 ... Darn if they are truly that cheaper, then i should start selling them over Sanyo, just to save on Customs even ..
-
dude his price is $199 for that Ganz .. are they really that low a price??
-
yep, thats his price, retailer or dealer ..
-
same guy ..

i think he must have only worked with an AvTech DVR .. LOL Except he is still wrong on the Resolution either way .. and wow, I can record non stop video to my hDD and still play Flight Simulator, on my 1Ghz with an 8mb video card and 128SDRAM .. wowwww!! LOL

36 Analogue, the rest IP up to 108 channels total. Linux OS. LOoks like crap but great for a Video Monitoring Central Station, im getting one of them for a new CS here. http://www.webgateinc.com/wgi_htdocs/eng/product/view.php?id=wgi_eng&page=1&sn1=&divpage=1&category=1&sn=off&ss=on&sc=on&select_arrange=headnum&desc=asc&no=7

Over here though, Sanyo is much cheaper than GE and Bosch, and from Levons site, seems Ganz is cheaper than Sanyo. I have used the Sanyo's before, the Day Night camera and the Day Night dome, and they worked great, they look crappy but setup and features were good. But if I can get the same from a Ganz at $100 cheaperr, than that would be worth the savings to my clients, remember we pay customs duty on evetrything here, a $200 camera is a $400 camera time as its landed, then there is markup.
-
gotcha .. is ganz cheaper than sanyo?? Im actually looking for cheaper now, due to the increase in customs import taxes here now, as well as other prices going up .. but i need good.

shipping cost from australia would be alot?

talking about Hybrid, check the one on this site: http://www.webgateinc.com/wgi_htdocs/eng/product/view.php?id=wgi_eng&page=1&sn1=&divpage=1&category=1&sn=off&ss=on&sc=on&select_arrange=headnum&desc=asc&no=1

A big myth is that any card will work in any PC .. alot of clients will look at the cost of the card, but forget the PC required ... even a $100 card from ebay needs a decent PC ..
-
Nahh, I still got that site beat, I can offer custom network GUI for clients ..
-
gotcha .. yep, was wondering the way around it with the cheaper bullet/dome cameras .. makes sense ..
-
oh ohhh .. someone selling the Iview on Ebay .. wazz up!?? Hey, they are selling them at Bahamas pricing
-
More Features - if you need them all ... Sometimes a Stand alone can be even cheaper than a PC DVR after you add the PC into the equation, Depends what the budget and needs are, and the features required. Its just a PC, you can use any parts from any computer store. They have to be to spec though with most cards. Features, and faster recording speeds .. generally, but for sure, features.

Door cameras can be the most difficult, with the back lighting issues. What type of cams are you using for those doors Fred ?

Hi, yes a fixed hidden camera can limit you, though you can always buy micro lenses seperately and change them according to the distance, the ones I have seen go as high as 16mm. Full camera will give you the best image. I dont know the make of that camera link you posted, but the price is around the same as the well known brands such as GE, Sanyo, etc, so id probably look at one of them. Ive never tried a camera looking out from inside, so cant comment there. For vandalism and good quality, as well as discreet, the only real choice is a Varifocal Dome Camera. Several Companies sell these, such as Speco Provideo, Hunt, and i just bought one from Ameba to use on a job. WizKid has a literally undestructable dome, you can get in BW, fixed micro lens in a small housing, or a larger housing with a varifocal lens. All come in High Res Versions. For real discreet, then some mini bullet cameras. Speco has the best selection for discreet, on the US side of the world, though there are many other brands that can work also, and most are all OEM anyway in the bullet cam world. I guess you can buy 1 camera full box camera, full lens, and try it inside looking out, problems with the image, reflections etc, then look at the outdoor covert method. DVR with full upgradable options, would really be a PC based. Im using the Iview PC Card and Im very pleased with them. Most stand alones will also allow you to change the HDDs though at least. AvTech has a 16 channel with removeable HDDs, its the cheapest on the market, fine for most home users. Its hard to help with this, without seeing the area, and really depends on the budget, and your own needs. Rory

Which ones are changing, the GE or the Ganz? Also, have you tested the Sanyo Wide Dynamic Day Night yet? If so, is it any good? Darn just looked at your price . .. thats amazingly low ... Might want to move this to the dealer section at this point ..? thanks Rory

hunts: http://huntcctv.com/DVR%20stand%20alone.htm http://www.webgateinc.com/wgi_htdocs/eng/main.html He would need the 16 channel to get 240fps though, just use 8 channels. http://huntcctv.com/HVR-16Q.htm Also, im going to get pricing on their Network DVR and Cameras, and Servers also, so I can maybe start a Video Monitoring Station down here, their products will work for that according to the specs, and hopefully not too expensive .. Ill probably offer 3 Station Systems, the GE to target those already with the GE Dvrs or want the name, the Iview PC based for those that want all those features, and the WebGate for the plug play stand alone servers, cameras, etc... dont know how its going to work yet but thinking at least 1 PC per Station type for now. The WebGate DVR system monitors/records 108 channels from the network, not bad. They also have some hybrid systems.
-
Yeah, the WebGate, or the Hunt, same thing. WebGate makes it, 60-240fps.
-
I installed 4 Ultraviews and they are pieces of Crap - DONT BUY THEM!!! just realised you meant you just bought the ganz not the GE ..cool
