Any Bosch Desa 8 Experts?
rory replied to Randy's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
they already lost money, when someone sold them it We've started switching out client's DMs for kalatel DVRs down here now .. and allready have 1 client which we are switching out their phillips DVR for a kalatel.. not to mention all the cheap unknown PC cards we have already switched out .. -
good question. or those COPS video clips ... can you say tape.. Unfirtunately here there is no such thing, video is not admissible in court. However the police will use it to capture and apprehend. as for your side, may depend on the judge on duty themselves.

you or paprotec?? either way, i doubt you will find that amount of ins/outs for $150 provideo has a 1 in 6 out ...its cheap

Any Bosch Desa 8 Experts?

Arghhhh! Sell them a new DVR -
manual actually sais 200ma. A drop of VDC up or down should not be an issue. Color cameras normally require 300ma, though as its a bullet ... I guess 200ma is fine.

whats a joke, the web site or the demo? Do yah mean the taiwanese simpsons in the demo Actually it is clear video for compressed network video. I dont use it but have seen it before I knew Herm even sold the product. Their embedded XP systems have some great specs and look professional too. Looks good ... IE demo installs way quicker/easier than GEO for sure .. just as basic as GEO, but hey, its an IE active X, what else do you expect ...

yes that is enough. though it depends on the camera. they are normally 10-40VDC for Traditional Cameras .. ill check the specs on that camera in a little bit. Just check for the voltage level VDC .. whoops i havent installed Acrobat Reader yet ... will have to install that first ,.. most important thing after the power check, is plug the video cable from each camera individually into a monitor/TV at the end of line, before it goes into the DVR A video meter would also allow you to check the video signal at the end of line, but they are harder to find than a normal meter ....
-
yeh, but did you meter it at the end of line? You only need a $20 meter like the one i got from Sears. If you are getting 12 volts than there is no prob with the power..
-
Before you re reun new cable - use a meter to check the voltage at the DVR side. Forget plugging it into the DVR for now, just get a TV or monitor. Test the power and make sure you are getting 12 volts at the end of line. Then plug in each camera seperately to the TV/Monitor and see what you get. If they made that cable for 150' then it should work. Ofcourse with that thinner cable, if you bend it too much you can get intermittent video. (like flashing/flickering).

Ive just used Secolarm Baluns over 150' and the quality loss is greater than RG59 Cable I have always used in the past. Only ever use it for convenience not because you would prefer to use it. I used it as I was also running telco, alarm, and networking between 2 buildings so it saved on conduit, plus if I did have issues I could always install an active transceiver. Another reason to use cat5 (UTP) is to use amplified transceivers for crisp video up to 1.5 miles, this exclused the baluns ofcourse. Rory

same can be said for windows .. why the darn serial number darnit!! and why do they keep trying to make it longer and longer and longer ...

the camera view and scope view will always be different. Basically the camera focal point of a camera with a fixed lens never changes, unless it is a zoom camera lens, and that needs to be controlled somehow. When you say rifle, what exactly is it for? As far as I know a rifle is used to kill???? I'm definately no fan of the so called "sport" of hunting. Rory

wide dynamic technology ...

one would think so ... but not that I have seen, but, like AV said the Sanyo is a great camera ..and Ill vouch for their vandal proof domes and their day night also ....its up to you,you wont go wrong with the sanyo though .. rory PS. I used Sanyo's 1/3rd inch Day Night over another brands 1/2 inch for an Infrared app after the 1/2 inch cam went bad ....and the Sanyo is still working to this day .. almost 4 years later. You may have seen it posted in this forum before under day night or Infrared cameras ... driveway infrared camera .. and the 1/3rd inch was better than the 1/2 inch .. new technology makes a huge difference ...
-
yes .. well I quoted distributor pricing when I said $20 more ... not spytown ..I have an update on this wide dynamic thing, will post in a little bit as soon as I get the windows updates done on this clients PC i am presently posting from .. yeah there are alot of updates ...
-
same price as the ultraview, well maybe $20 more, but it is a day night ..the ultraview cosmetically looks better .. but ..... yah know!
-
well there are obviously others, like phillips, etc. but this is the one i know of ... and they are very popular.
-
ive used their 4594 Day night and it is good. That camera you linked is a 1/2 inch, so the lens wont be cheap, 1/2 inch and 1/3 inch really not difference these days, at leastI havent noticed any. other product would be the GE KTC-540 - same price ...exview also..
