    March Networks

they are more than Dedicated Micros, which is more than Kalatel. Yes they have some nice units. Why would the manufacturer be bidding in a quote? Rory

    Consultant Prices

Yes, specing it out totally, as these guys can get the jobs, but dont know the products, they have been relying on distributors and they have been selling them $10 cameras for $100K jobs! If the client is paying $100K for products, im sure they would want some of the best.

    Good underwater color bullet camera

if you are looking for a cheap camera, which that is, go for a good name with good support and proven long lasting, at the least. Obviously something like the ExtremeCCTV cameras are the best, higher end, but you could get away with one of the following: http://www.spytown.com/spcvwacobuda.html same like the one you listed, except price is cheaper, better name brand. http://www.spytown.com/provcvcolwat1.html Like yours on the link you provided, it is still cheap, and gives you a semi good image. 20' max IR in optimal conditions. Here is a better version of all of these bullet cameras, and its made by Extreme CCTV, not too expensive either, and it is HIGH RESOLUTION color. http://www.wizkidoptotech.com/products/index.cfm?img=21&area=1 CCD 1/3â€
  4. ive been looking for something like this, day/night with wide dynamic range, and not an arm and a leg in cost. But i need to buy from somewhere closer to me. http://www.dvrsurveillance.com/Surveillance_cameras/AM80-WD_TDN_dome.htm Rory
  5. i dont want to stick in a DVR or system at the premises in this case, just remote watch, and record on event. When i say cheap, compared to a 4 channel DVR, Cameras, Lenses, Monitor, etc. Rory

Which drive should GEO ard be on

a couple refurbished PCs from www.tigerdirect.com
  7. i was thinking about setting up the central station with video monitoring as well, using IP cameras, but they have to be cheap, indoor/outdoor, and good remote multi site software with remote recording/archiving, maybe only record when in event mode, or just send jpegs to archive.?? Any ideas, nothing expensive, this would be seperate of any local CCTV and probably just for ghetto retail stores and homes.. Rory

Anyone knows what make this is?

hi I stumbled across your site searching google for a day night wd camera, the domes look interesting. How well do they work? I mean the day night feature, and the WD. Also, is the quality of color image good? Id like to get one just to try it, I have many local applications where it would fit right in. That and a WD dome color only. Thanks rory
  17. id rather a joystick over the mouse, ever tried a speed dome in full speed with a mouse? Used one the other day with a mouse, we had to slow the PTZ right down, just gets away from you unless you use a joystick :-0
  18. my clients would shoot me if I put such an ugly looking camera in their business!!

    Consultant Prices

Hi. which system, been a while I mean I have some guys doing cctv here but they want me to consult them on products to use, etc, as they generally just rely on the distributor. I would normally not do this, but #1 I need the cash, and #2, they are huge jobs $100K+ Government jobs. So I wont be doing any physical work.

Anyone knows what make this is?

i habe found the distributors to know a lot less than we do! )
  24. No problem. I forgot to mention also, everything here is double as far as expenses, so we normally charge more than the US, though you drive further distances so it could even out in the amount of gas you use. (we are 21 miles by 11 miles only). I got these prices from a mix of LA and Miami prices.

I prefer the traditional cameras also, but it seems so many people rather domes these days, mostly at retails stores and luxury homes, as they are the only ones that can afford them anyway. Ive also come across places like small outdoor bars, that need a camera looking at the bar area, but lots of light behind it, cant use a traditional camera because of size limitations and the camera is withing reach of the clients.
