yes, PM me if you need prices, I have all the dealer prices, on the DVMRe-PRO (120pps), as well as the StoreSafe Pro (60pps), and the updated prices for the StoreSafe and DVMRe-CT. Im only selling the StoreSafe in the 4 chanel version now, and the StoreSafe Pro in 10 channel & 16 channelm and the DVMRe-Pro with DVD in the 16 channel. The DVMRe-PRO also comes with a CDR for a couple dollars less. Yes I use the multi site feature right now for a couple sites, and its so simple to use. Rory

the main thing is the battery pack, the ones that just use a rechargable pack of batteries that are soldered to a lead that plugs into the LCD, dont use them, those soldered leads end up breaking, thats what the eclipse has and didnt take long to break on me, the Delta vision one has a hard pack that is attached the the back of the LCD.

Mounting Camera To View Through Window
rory replied to kdberg's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Your best bet then would be like ricky said, a wide dynamic camera such as the Kalatel Ultra View, so it will see indoors and outdoors, with a standard plastic camera mount, and a 2.5-10mm auto iris lens. -
charge by the hour, with a deposit, or by the camera, like a new install. These are current pricing I charge, low to high end: Will include wiring on the high end pricing, if they buy parts through me, otherwise I add that on seperately, generally price is just to mount and focus camera etc, approx $75 per hour. CCTV Service ============ $50 minimum service charge $75 per hour $150 maximum service charge Cameras Install ============= $50 /$75 per Bullet Camera $50 /$75 per Indoor Micro Fixed Domes $75 /$150 per Varifocal Bullet Camera $75 /$150 per Varifocal Fixed Domes $150/$250 per Outdoor/Varifocal Fixed Domes $150 per IR LED $75 /$150 per Indoor Traditional Camera $150 /$250 per Outdoor Camera $250 per IR cameras $350 /$450 per PTZ Camera Systems Install ============= $150 /$250 per 4 channel DVR system $350 /$500 per 10 channel DVR system $500 /$750 per 16 channel DVR system

i know for a no name, but the wide dynamic day night, is cheap compared to name brands, then again, I cant find any name brands with the 2 technologies in one. What brand do you sell thats cheaper than the other ones they have? Remember they are selling retail. Rory

Nifty Accessory for AI Lens Focusing
rory replied to AVCONSULTING's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
any idea on cost? thanks Rory -
I either splice it, like you said, or use a screw type terminal. These can be purchased from most security dealers. I always use multi power supplies fused, unless the client is very cheap, they are less than 4 camera apps, and they are short runs. If you do splice it, try to never leave that exposed outdoors, use a weatherproof box, or ceiling/attic, or the BNC/RCA connectors will get corroded eventually and you will run into video problems. Mounting Camera To View Through Window
rory replied to kdberg's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Just one, you will loose image quality. Why not just sell them a vandal resistant weatherproof dome? Provideo has some for cheap. And if its primarily for night time, just use B/W. Rory -
Alternative to DM would be Kalatel, which is generally cheaper than DM. But a 16 channel is more than $2000 in both brands. Anyway, Kalatel's network software allows up to 16 DVRs at one time, and up to 64 cameras in one multi view, custom arranged or preset. 20 users can connect over the netowork at one time, and you can also change the DVRs menu programming over the network. It has advanced search features, and in my opinion from using DM and Kalatel, a much better and more powerful software interface. Maybe not as 'pretty' as DM, but I chose Kalatel over DM for its features. You can look at the DVMReCT (60pps) if you dont need CDRW or DVD built in, or the DVMRe-PRo (120pps) with CDRW or DVD. There is also the StoreSafe pro with CDRW and 60pps, which is less in cost. And using 16 cameras, i never go less than a 160GB harddrive, but to save cost you may have to go with an 80GB, or 40GB. Also, though it voids the warranty, you could buy a 40Gb and install your own larger hard drives. Just keep the original hard drive incase you have to send it back. That said, even a low end DVR like Everfocus has multi site remote video products. The software is not as powerful, but it does have remote search by time/date, alarm, and segments (volumes). Hope this helps. Rory

I dont know why you would use a Laptop to set up a camera, a small TV would suffice, and has the inputs for the camera. Anyway, here are a few dedicated Technician Portable monitors. Others like DeltaVision, Eclipse, etc are also low cost. These come with rechargeable battery packs, and generally kits. The ones you listed are just small LCDs, doesnt look like they come in a protective case. http://www.spytown.com/4andunlcdcol.html Rory

it has the same board, same parts as the DVMRe-CT, only they added faster recording and a DVD. There is no competition.

How far can a cat5 single pair run to control the PTZ
rory posted a topic in General Digital Discussion
the client has doubled up 2 pairs of the cat5, will it work up to 2500'? -
ask DVRexpert_australia, as he is in australia, and would be able to help more with australian pricing. See the banner at the top of this page also, DVR Australia's company. Rory PS. Are you near the pigeon hole health center? just did a quick search on google to find out where yarralin is located

Here is a new coaxal RG59 amplifier from NVT, not sure on the price, and is not the distance you want, but its nice for other projects under 1500'. http://www.nvt.com/products/NV_862BNC.html The pelco one AV mentioned is probably your only choice. Provideo also has one, not sure how far it does: But ypu could email them, would be cheaper than Pelco. http://www.csi-speco.com/cart/products/productDetails.asp?prodID=356

dont know, its working now, strange! Maybe some cookie thing, i had security set on high perhaps it was still on high when I was coming back here.

lacking is the right word with these cheap standalones, just tested 3 different ones, im at work right now, will post some reviews later on, they dont come close to the Kalatel units, or a high end PC unit, but if you can do without some features, lack of support, and just want recording locally with some limited remote video, then they are worth it.

Cat5 gives you no interference either. and using the active recievers/tx you can get high crisp no loss of video to 1.5 miles. Fiber is too pricey.

does anyone know if there is anything out there like this available? Cost is not an issue. Thanks Rory

Has anyone used this type of wire yet?
rory replied to rory's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
You can use Baluns, but you only get video to 750' as they are Passive, or use an Active Receiver Hub, with an Active Transmitter, and you get up to 1.5 miles of video with no loss of quality. Those dual Power Video plugs dont go too far, plus they are passive so you get the same quality video as if using Coax. So a RG59 Coax Siamese would be cheaper in that application.
