What does it mean by Hybrid solution system? How it work just can consider is Hybrid solution?
-
Of course H.264 compression file size definitely smaller than MPEG4. But in term of pricing..... it is pretty "nice" as well. Let's imagine 100 units of H.264 IP cameras or video server, how much will it cost.......hehe

Need Help : PTZ camera with POE
kelvin replied to teolisa's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I don really understand what is that I custom make all my ethernet to carry DC current on the brown and blue wires so I do not need to run an extra wire to power a camera, even if that camera is not POE capable. As i know in order to run cat5 with DC power and you have to apply using balun. So do you need any balun for youor custom made cat5?? if not need, mind to share how you do it? -

I will suggest install video server in each outlet for direct internet connection without pass through the PC or DVR. The recording will be done in the HQ. reason - save cost on purchase PC or DVR - less maintenance on the 40 outlet in future - avoid intruder harm your PC/DVR becox it is common to see intruder harm or direct bring the PC/DVR away - Video server allow multi-site preview, record and playback in the same time - Able to Remote Central Managment via LAN or internet - Remote control via specific IP video. - Remote anolog video through LAN or internet - Less bandwidth - Able to fix with different type of camera based on site requirement Specification - 2ch or 4ch video server depend on the outlet camera need. - MPEG4 - Smaller file size and better quality - CIF resolution - medium resolution but can avoid of bandwidth bottle neck in HQ remote view/record/playback. Most important less internet monthly subscription unless you have the budget then you may think to go for D1 resolution. - 5-7fps remote view/recording - less kbps to download in HQ. can avoid of bandwidth bottle neck in HQ remote view/record/playback. still the same...unless you got the budget then may go for high FPS. - Auto reconnect function - Remote Motion/Schedule/Continuous recording For HQ - 7 PCs and each pc with 16 video - less burden on the RAM, graphic board...etc - internet access with dynamic IP or fix IP - use bandwidth management controller to control the bandwidth run in smooth and faster condition Most important you have to understand by yourself what do you want this surveillance system to do for you and what is your budget limit. Then you will come out with a clear picture on which product will be more suitable to you.

In what way doing video output is the best solution? Here are the case: PC base application DVR board without VGA output From PC to slave monitor site approximate 200m Here are the few way i had think about: T-join : Signal split and cause two site having signal drop problem. Multiplexer : Worry of the video output signal drop as well. Booster : add the booster to any one above mention solution and signal may be running well. direct VGA ouput from Graphic card : don know the result, never try before. Any other way of doing video output for 200m you have try before and the signal will be good also?

I got problem on pc doing remote view. here is the situation. Server site is using a PC based dvr. The remote viewing will be on for 24hrs everyday. When continue remote viewing for about 1 - 2 days, then the remote viewing will be disconnect. Once disconnect you are not able to reconnect for remote view until the server site restart the pc. Once server site pc restart then im able to do remote view again. What actually cause this problem? is it because of the RAM or bandwidth on server site get into bottle neck or any other reason?? All comments are welcome.... thanks

Well, actually im not really good in wireless system. In my location, branded like GE, bosch, Pana.... etc is pretty high price and im not affortable to have such hi-end product. As you know in the market any wireless product (point 2 point) price is reasonable and could perform well? since i said in my last post for site with diameter 80m. for P2P wireless, do i have to add a Access Point to extand the distance?
-
I was thinking is it possible to setup a temporary cctv system. let's say 16 cameras with a installation site diameter 80m. it has to be simple installation and easily to remove (i mean not a very complicated system design). Recording is a MUST. I was thinking to use a wireless system but no idea on which type of wireless application.

Pc based Vs Standalone or specific DVR.
kelvin replied to peshaw's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Wavelet is good for time-lapse when you are doing playback. MPEG4 is nice if you are in real-time recording. -

Which coaxial cable is recommended for CCTV system?
kelvin replied to wishmegood's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Commscope is copper cover metal, it is for CATV not CCTV. you will easily get interference. not to use such cable even though it is cheap, in the end result you spend more on recovery. If you are looking cheap full copper cable, try for MK-4 or some other. In theory if the CATV coaxial cable is cover with at least 23% of copper then you can use it for CCTV, anyway it is not recommended.
