I'm hoping somebody can help, Other than sending the DVR back into Micros I was wondering if somebocy could tell me how to unlock the pass from Hyperterminal/ similar.
I'd followed the instrucions I found here:

unfortunately I tried and failed.
I enter hyperterm >
get the boot log after reboot using cam2. >
wait until bootlog finished then Type "+++" >
Type Userdef > Returns "?:" with a list of prompts as though it expects a further command.
enter "QUIT" and reboot returns message Loader 20 mins before start.
Reboot & press menu and again am asked for the password.
Anybody any thoughts? Advice?
