I have had cctv for ages . but just upgraded a heap of my stuff . but its just not nice quality . a have a 700tvl dome a couple other 700tvl bullets and a few others are like 450tvl yet to be upgraded . my dvr is GE TruVision DVR 30 all bnc leads all outside cameras with ir. now my old dvr blewup so only replaced the dvr today but its just not nice pic quality . and if go through camera setting and adjust pic quality for day time then it looks crap at night cause setup for day and viseversa . also I have a comp monitor hooked upto it under the house and a bnc lead going under house into my room hooked upto my tv the pic quality is not as good as the comp monitor and the images are normal size on comp screen and on my tv there to big for each box . ill put 2 pics up from tv screen then 2 from computer monitor I took a pic from camera front left of yard you will see half my fence missing and half the house over the road on

hi thanks for reading this just a few questions . I was given some cameras cause they are faulty . theres a few dome and a few bullet . the domes have leds and same as bullets. the problem is they are faulty . he said they may be fixable .now when connect power and connect the bnc there is no picture . but if put your finger over the ir the leds turn on so there is power going to the cameras . could it possibly be dodgey bnc ends on the camera ? I have pulled a couple of the cameras apart unply and plug the connectors and still no video . any help or ideas would be excellent

hi all just a quick question as I have said once before im new to the cctv scene slowly learning more. question about the ground loop isolator does it go from the back of dvr to the camera bnc lead or the lead from the camera then bnc lead ? or can you hook it up anyway ?
-
I don't need one I was asking how do you hook them up as it was a question I seen them but was curious as to if goes to camera end or dvr end or does it matter what end .

hi al I have a question for yous . all my dvr is under the house . I ran a hdmi lead under house and I dril a hole in floor where wall is and the hdmi lead plugs into the back of a wall plate . then a hdmi lead goes to tv . well the problem im having is when I turn the fan speed up or down its like the tv screen turns off and back on but the hdmi lead is nowhere near the fan switch . when its on dvd player it don't do it only when viewing the cameras on tv .

hdmi cut out when turn fan on and off
wkdwrx replied to wkdwrx's topic in General Digital Discussion
ok I had the sparky come back over I got him to put a new fan switch on the wall and try that did nothing . I bought one of the ferrite rings and did nothing . its weird only does it when view it on hdmi on tv in room cause as said above from the recorder to wall place have the hdmi and bnc leads running under house drill hole in floor and connect both into back of wall plate . if use the bnc to tv its fine tuen fan on does nothing . then connect hdmi from wall plate to tv turn fan on black screen for a sec then speed 2 black screen for a sec . I got him to do it to see if the computer monitor under house does it when the tv does it . and no it don't the only thing the computer monitor did when he did it was topleft corner got a lil fuzzy when he turn the fan speeds -

ok well I put on here a couple months ago I drop my camera like 1 foot from the ground it slip out of my hand when picking it up and it smash the glass in the centre piece where the lens is . here is a update well I rang heaps of shops none of them has 1.1mm round glass or able to cut it 28mm round plus prob a waste of time for them . I ran out of ideas and thought hmm whats the time and it hit me the glass from a watch face. so I look them up on ebay found 1 place in uk im in Australia and they had 1.1mm by 28mm round glass . I hit buy it now they sent it to me 3 weeks later was 48mm lol so email them back they send me another one 28mm what do you know it fit perfect . I clean all inside got all broken glass out wipe it out bought the right glue that you mix was for plastic and glass I used a broken tooth pick ran glue all around the inside of plastic pushed the glass in wipe off all wet glue from the front and looks perfect let it dry no leaks I fill the inside og face with water and yeh no leaks which is good cause cameras out side . so yeh heres some pics
