  1. hi, I was wondering if anyone else had encountered this. I have installed true geovision 650s or 800s(running 8.01 software) in the following system setups and get blue screens of Death mainly at night for customers who are running 5 to 16 cameras Dell E310/Dimension 3100 (can this machine handle geovision cards) P4 2.8 to 3.06 chip with hyperthreading technology 512(in one system) to 1GB of ram(in the other 4) intel chipset 915GV Video is intel 82XX with 128 megs support Win XP or Win XP media center are the running operating systems (I have tried an true ATI9250 PCI card w/256MG ram, as there's no AGP/PCI-e slot with no luck) I have an extra 250 Sata drive to store the geovision Data it has also happened to the one Dell 5150 I have in place with a customer, but not as quickly(ran fine for 2-3 weeks) as the 310 is it a software setting I missed? I only install the main system with webserver active and remote view. one customer Did say that the BSOD said IRQ_LESS_OR_EQUAL, most don't bother to read it unfortunately I'm at a loss. any thoughts and help would be greatly appreciated Thanks MAS
  2. Rory, Thank you for the list. is it necessary to do all this for the geovision to work properly? you don't run AVG on the system? what is ultra VNC? i appreciate your help MAS
  3. Rory, can up give me a step by step list of the software you install when you build a DVR? I install the main system, remoteview and I check webserver in the main system. Could it be as something as simple as a setting in the software? the error doesn't happen when i have the the DVR with 1 or two cameras running, but with customers who have 5 to 16 cameras running. thanks MAS
  4. yes I did check the IRQs, but reading about the error iteself in the newsgroups. It could be a driver, heat or any myraid of things, but the customers aren't giving me/or my boss the first few lines of the BSOD, so it's hard to diagnose the situation
  5. Rory, have u ever gotten this, a BSOD error that said IRQ_LESS_OR_EQUAL? thanks MAS
  6. hi Rory, I believe it's the mobo (chipset) as well, but my boss is hell bent on making these work and prolly won't spring for different mobo as i already tried a seperate video card with no luck. dell's are if u don't modify them. thanks again for your help Mas
  7. hi Rory, thank you for your response. the cards are in the second PCI slot. Yes i did try XP2 as well with the same result. the dreaded blue screen of Death it isn't my choice of PC, either my boss is fascinated by Dell, so that's what he wants me to use. these are legit cards, but it happens with the Geovision clones/fakes too. I'm not sure about the chipset either. I have contacted Geovision, but only thru email. I'm going to try by phone on monday thanks MAS
