  1. Exactly what model of camera are you using....some of the first ESC-IPC-1 cams were plugged in wrong for the old POE using wires 1234 instead of 5678. I had to remove camera cover and simply move the 4 wire cable plugged into the POE board to the other 4 pin connector on the POE board. I also use ZyXel POE and it simply did nothing until I did the switch. They now are shipping with the correctly wired I might add.
  2. Yes, need original video.
  3. Sorry STtickman, I'm a tad confused: which video did you inspect that resulted in the reported 1280x960 resolution? Was this video from a Swann SWNHD-820CAM which had been flashed with the Hikvision firmware? No it's from my Dahua 2100 which I used just to show how VLC will tell you what resolution the VIDEO is
  4. Well, that's what I was thinking when I used VLC to give me the info on the video.
  5. I thought about this also...by the time you add tax then its 186.72 ea. in my state. Then add another 55.00 if you are not a Costco member (which I am not). Then after you flash it...there goes the warranty out the window. So all I can say the Dahua is cheaper in my world...given that it is a 2MP cam.
  6. I saved the stream of my Dahua 2100 using BlueIris export as "AVI with no re-encoding" then open the file in VLC. Maybe you could try that and see what it tells you ??
  7. Is it possible that the soft side is caused by a blemished lens ? I guess a person could swap them to confirm that theory. Nice job on the flash, you will somehow have to confirm if you really are getting that resolution or not.
  8. You may have to play with it...on mine though it seemed to look best if I kept the same values for both settings. What version of firmware are yours running ? The verdict is still out as what is the cause of this.
  9. I have the same issue, but with just one out of (7) 2100's. It mostly appears during the brightest part of day. I use customize setting and it goes away. This would appear to be a firmware issue to me ?? BTW running 2.100.0001.0.R, build : 2012-10-31 On the other hand, why is it just this cam....it may be going back.
  10. Me too. I bought one of those big-ass stainless BBG's at Costco and cooked meat on it for 5-years. Never liked it much and five years after I bought it I returned it. It smelled like burnt meat when I rolled it in. And there was not a peep out of them. They refunded me cash. How can you beat that? It took 5 years worth of steaks to figure out you never liked it....WOW. That's a waste of good meat my friend.
  11. I would say its BlueIris with "overlay motion" enabled.
  12. So then it looks like it is just going to be a 2MP cam then
  13. Here is manual to android app: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/47399955/manual%28android%200705%29%20word03.doc Here is manual for iphone app https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/47399955/manual%28Iphone0705%29%20word03.doc
  14. Not sure what you mean "post to just advertise"....I am not selling nothing. I tested the cam and I use BlueIris so I did not even try other software. SO, I did install it and it's called CMS, but don't ask me anything about it cause I don't have time to waste on it. Don't use cell phones so can't help you on that. I simply was trying to give what information I know about this cam.....PERIOD !
  15. I believe they were 199.00. You have to create a account to see prices. This is one of Dahua policies now, you can't show prices.
  16. are these not the same camera ????? which ever way you look at it there both dahua ?? No, The ESC-IP is a camera being sold by Empire Security Cameras. They are not a Dahua re-branded cam....completely different firmware and hardware.

    Avigilon vs Dahua

    More popcorn anyone ? " title="Applause" />
  18. Well yes and no. The ESC-IP has a varifocal lens and more IR power, but I don't like the housing or size as well as the Dahua. So it really depends on your need for the lens or lighting. I think they both have very similar video quality and the ESC-IP firmware has more video adjustments. I use both cams in BlueIris, so as far as there own software, I can't help you much there. So my thoughts....I'm waiting for the HFW-3200S Stickman (someone already had my handle so I used mine backwards)
  19. I have added some still shots from each cams interface to compare on cam-it forum. http://188.40.102.78/cam-it.org/smf/index.php?topic=3755.msg17918#msg17918 edit: I tried to post url, but never could get it to work here ??
  20. You probably have the lens set to 2.8mm which will distort the image more than the 3.6mm on the 2100.

    Dahua firmware

Did you give it time ? They do seem to hang at that position on the progress bar, but will eventually progress on.
