BOSCH.. Need Urgent Feedback!!!!!
cctv_down_under replied to cctv_down_under's topic in General Digital Discussion
I dont think Desa is a TRUE bosch product, some Bosch offices can name other products as Bosch, we try not to do that in our area! Divar DVR1C DVR4C DIBOS8 are the only DVR's that I know that are made directly by Bosch. Regards, GC -
BOSCH.. Need Urgent Feedback!!!!!
cctv_down_under replied to cctv_down_under's topic in General Digital Discussion
I agree about hardware motion being more accurate but, softwrae motion detection on a DVR is different to that on a camera as you are only doing a Time Lapse motion detection and not detcting very frame, therefore it is much more prone to alarm as shifts can occur between interlacing of frames. Interested about interference rejection because cant see how such thin, unshielded cable could not be subject to interference, that seems impossible to me, perhaps it filters it. I can say that the Dynamic Noise Reduction in the XF is awesome, it only sneds the fields that had least noise if no change in the picture, this means no nonsensical recordings generated just from noise at night time, and the adjustable gain, through Bilinx is great, i mena lets face it, who sticks around till 1am to find out if noise triggers recordings, much easier to come in next day, but even easier when you dont have open the housing to make the adjustment.. Look not everyone sets cameras up this well, I would even say that most people don't even back focus, not to mention have no idea of T Factors or F stops and not everyone makes many adjustments and they just accept the way things are.. but Bosch clients tend to be very proffesional and thats why they get more for their jobs and it is why they get bigger contracts... hay in your kneck of the woods, I would never use Bosch as most wont afford it, but there are people that do corner stores and there are people that do Stadiums and Railway Networks or Military etc etc. I would like to know more about this NVT active.. can you post some links Rory -

1/ Agreed but then your opening yourself up to interference.. I assume you were refering to one of those balun things that can not adjust to read impedance and then adjust accordingly 2/ Thats very incorrect, in the bahamas perhaps, but once you get into some bigger projects you might want that relay for things like matrix switchers etc, kinda handy to set a macro in a control room to bring up a monitor due to relay from camera etc, yes I realise some dvr's have camera pop up etc but there are many more applications. 3/4/The modes can be changed to suit, so if you dont like the easy set up, then you can edit each mode and save them like that, and although I realise not a lot happens in Bahamas, but yeh things do change, for instance in our kneck of the world, the sun changes place during seasons, ....buildings get put up and cast shadows, functions happen in pubs, overcast days and rain occur, fog sometimes happens etc etc but yes I conceed your point, mind you looks pretty impressive when you are able to change something over the phone, customers love it. but I guess it aint GE so it will never get the thumbs up from you.. Dinions are much better than GE in my opinion and now 540tvl with 3yr warranty. But that is only my opinion, I am not fond of GE cameras only their DVR as I have seen quite a few failed GE cams. Once again only my opinion and yes I work for Bosch so of course my opinions are slighted. Regards, GC -

Granted... the XF wont be for everyone, because of it's price tag.. but yes its features do suit many situations. 1/ Amplification.... If you cant put an inline amp... well you dont need one with the XF. 2/ Motion Detect..... real 50fps, you may not be using a DVR so why not use the ouput of your cam to either turn something on or trigger faster recording on a DVr if you are using it.. 3/ 3 modes, day/ traffic and Night, and with the trigger it can change.. for example someone turns on the lights, well you dont need night mode anymore. 4/ Bilinx, you can program the camera... upgrade the camera change all the settings ...remotely or via the coax, so you do not need to open the housing at all. There are many more features of the XF camera but hay you dont always need one, thats why the Dinions are so cheap -

I really cant comment on the prices over there, we are quite cheap here, infact even cheaper than Samsung, BTW that 620 cam is 1/2" not 1/3 or 1/4 and has a mechanical filter, amplifier to get 1kilometer out of RG59 and motion detection, but mostly 1/2" would bang the price right up as it is very sensitive indeed -
Drive storage rates, does this sound right?
cctv_down_under replied to WildCard's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Thomas is correct!!! ONLY use hardware raid controller boards or you are going to see some big problems. -
Cant find key pro... that means cant read the onboard dongle, which means the system cant see the card... my bet is that you installed the software before the drivers, doing this tells the softwrae to lock onto the card, but there is no card there as the drivers werent installed first???? remove the software remove the hardware, reddetect the hardware and install the software or move it to another slot, the only other two resons are that.. 1/ Incompatable mainboard, welcome to Geo... 2/ There is one version of Geo i think it was 5.4 or 6.0 that had a bug with detecting the dongle.

You can do it with the bosch camera and control over bilinx

With Geovision, can you throttle certain cams FPS down?
cctv_down_under replied to WildCard's topic in Geovision
This will happen because the hint bridge controlleris distributing the data, try 1 cam only and see if is different SRT causes this as well -
1 Geovision server, spanning 4 remote sites possible?
cctv_down_under replied to WildCard's topic in Geovision
It really depends on how many cameras at the remote site, you can get aay with a few cameras streaming but it really depends on the bandwidth. Bosch makes a Hybrid DVR that supports both, web streaming servers and analogue inpus, this means you can have your standard inputs and your remote web inputs into the one DVR at one site, this will work well if you have, either only a few cameras or large bandwidth. Not really sure why that is happening to you, i know Bosch doen't do distributors here, they do not believe in it, as for the GE stuff, I havent seen anything decent yet, Sanyo is considered too cheap on this side of the globe and Ganz is getting a better rap than Sanyo these days. As for Pana... yep nice cameras indeed, but perhaps a little too expensive for our market, Rory use whatever you want, and i agree if the reps wont visit you, then it may nt be worth you selling it and perhaps you should stickto your other options. Bosch can be funny about who sells their product and they do tend to throw a lot of support to larger companies rather than small ones, this is just my observation on the market overseas, it is not a business ploy or an attitude taken specifically, and I hope it changes, however demand is very large for these cameras and there are only so many hours in a day and perhaps.like you said Bosch would prefer a company that sells its product exclusively rather than many products.. i agree to some extent on the domes, however I have seen our product roadmap and I know what is coming so keep your eyes open.. -

Rory, do we really have to go back to playing these silly games... There are a lot of camera companies that copied Burle, Phillips, Bosch Design... As for the Bilinx costing a large amount of money, it certainly does not even cost half of that amount in this country and thats even before I convert our measily dollar to US dollars, about .70c to the dollar, yes granted your tax import system may be screwed, but not everyone is living in your region and facing the same problem, so i must think it is probably not that expensive, we even throw them in some times. Just so you know the Bilinx is not only configurable up the coax, it also has the ability to be remotely IP Configured... oh yeh nearly forgot.. you dont even need Bilinx if you use a Bosch DVR or product, it is now built into the DVR's. I really dont see how you can say that the Bosch cameras aren't the best.. heres why I think the XF range are pretty rock solid. 1/ BUILT IN AMPLIFICATION This means you can run RG59 for 1000 Meters without need of an amp, its even got a setting for the type of cable you use, not only that it can measure the impedance and auto set the balance. 2/ 15 BIT TECHNOLOGY.. this means More Bits and therefore more data and therefore more light levels, more contrast and more colours, 10 Bit Cams can see 512 Light Levels and 100 Colour Levels while 15 Bit allows for 10,000 Light Levels and 1,000 Colours. 3/ 540 TVL 4/ Motion Detection built into the camera. 5/ Three Default Modes of operation 6/ Alarm Relay Input to trigger between functions and modes, try setting a cam for low light and see how it performs during the day, why not have it switch on a timer or when lights are activated or deactivated. 7/ Dynamic Noise Cancelation to reduce wasted frame delivery and therefore eliminate a lot of unwanted recordings. 8/ Auto Black for looking through Fog or Smoke filled rooms. 9/ The Camera is Future proof.. you can flash it and upgrade it, even from OFFSITE. 10/ All settings can be saved to replace existing settings if need be. 11/ OHHHHHH YEHHH 3 YEAR WARRANTY!!!!!! I am not going to list the prices in here, but it is almost as Cheap as Ganz if you catch my Drift and other than Broadcast Quality Cameras I am yet to see better, mind you the SD3 is very Impressive and in my opinion has copied a lot of the Bosch Features. You tell me another camera in it's price range that boasts, remote config, update 3yr,15Bit, Motion Detect, Alarm Relay and Distribuiton Amp???? I am all ears!! -

cctv_down_under replied to jeromephone's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Yes Rory, I am the Bosch Rep, but I think you have to agree they have the best cams in the world, even you would have to admit that and even if you didnt I can easilly show you the awards that they have one with their camera range!!! granted the question was more on the DVR than cameras but Bosch has some good options the Hybrid area but lacks on the lower end. -
did I miss something, there is nothing bad here, unless it was deleted..what was that all about hermin?

DVR Motion Detection Tripped by Camera Noise
cctv_down_under replied to AVCONSULTING's topic in General Digital Discussion
The best result can be gained by using the XF camera with the built in alarm output.... the xf has motion detection built int herefore every fielfd and frame can be analyzed not just time lapse done by a DVR, by using the ouput to the DVR for recording it is the most accurate I have seen -
