Would I just need to buy an IR illuminator off eBay to use along side this camera? Are they all pretty much the same? Maybe just a standard low light outdoor light that comes on at night? Would rather not choose this as the garden would be lit up all the time. Sorry if it's a dumb question, but I know how deep CCTV can go into detail so would rather know from the experts

I'm looking to use a cheap PC as a DVR system to put in my loft. I've been recommended a high resolution outdoor camera (650 TVL?) that I believe comes with BNC connections. Can I just buy any PCI capture card (with BNC) to plug the camera straight into? Or are there any gotchas to watch out for? I'm just wanting the one camera (must be clear, outdoor, and night vision). Looking to use free DVR software off the internet. Cheers.
