Yes we both use VBR.

Myself and my neighbour have the same analogue DVR with 4 cameras and all the encode / schedule settings are the same. We both have a 1TB hard drive recording 24/7 but his uses a lot more HD space per week than mine does. The only difference is in the cameras. He has 700TVL Sony CCD cameras and I have cheapo 1000tvl CMOS jobs. Do his CCD cameras create larger files than my CMOS cameras ? regards Mick

Hi, new here and I just bought the Primus 4 channel off Ebay. Got it running with 2 x 700tvl and 2 x 420 tvl. Picture is good but I'm having a nightmare trying to set up motion detection. the interface on my machine is similar to but not the same as the one in the downloaded instructions, and some of the wording is impossible to understand. I would appreciate some help setting up motion detection initially before I venture into networking it. regards Mick
