We have a client who is having an issue with a high rise condo next to their business. People staying in the condo are throwing objects at customers on the adjacent property. They want evidence quality video for the entire side of this condo that sits adjacent to their property. This condo is 250ft tall and 300ft wide on the side they are adjacent too. I told them I did not think it would be possible to cover such a large area with identifiable video but I said that I would try and come up with something. I've been racking my brain for a few days but I wanted to see if anyone else had ever encountered a similar scenario.

I picked up a little indoor wired PoE Trendnet camera (TV-IP672PI) to try in my home. I have a Dahua NVR-3208 and cannot seem to get it to work. Whenever I add the camera using the 'general' preset it will connect and the status light remains green. Unfortunately there is no video and the bitrate screen shows some really low bitrate like 15 kb/S. I know my RTSP stream url is good because I tested it on VLC. I've tried lowering the resolution and bitrate but nothing seems to work. Does anyone know any tricks to getting generic cameras working with Dahu NVR's?
