  1. A wider view is provided by wider lens. Like this...
  2. I've been thinking of a "Street View Cam" myself lately. But where to hide the camera because I don't want to advertise that I'm watching the intersection? So how about this up 10 feet in the corner of my yard with a camera inside? Or, in Spoolx's case two birdhouses facing opposite directions? Or how about 6 birdhouses on the same post...but only two (2) contain cameras and the other 4 contain...birds!

They take a lickin' and keep on clickin'!
  4. Rookie mistake; why do you need to run at 30FPS?
  5. I'm about to mount a couple of HIKvision DS-2CD2032-I outdoors and I was hoping that someone might give me some recommendations for doing so. Lightning protection will be handled by L-Com SP73925 units. I'm most interested in how to physically mount these cameras to the side of a brick building approximately 12-feet high. Any suggestions fellas? Thanks.
  6. So you drill a 1-inch hole in the blank cover. And then what type of screws do you use to secure the camera base to the blank cover? Do you use a stainless machine screw with a lock washer and nut on the inside of the blank cover?
  7. Thanks for the response. Is there any particular electrical box you might recommend? I do run 6 of these cameras inside so I am familiar with the unit. Thanks again.
  8. Maybe...just maybe...these are a love offering...for you.

    Camera indoors looking out

Maybe you could try using a camera which has the ability to manually set it's IR to off and then utilize an exterior motion activated light. Mount the light high so that it floods the camera's field of view with light and so that it does not shine on the window. And clean your windows good.

When the door's secure what's next? Windows?
  11. Yes, great stuff CBX.Thanks for the terrific effort! " title="Applause" />
  12. Go back to cam-it.org and work the topic you posted there.
  13. That camera works superbly with Blue Iris. At least the 8 that I run on Blue Iris do.
  14. I would respectfully suggest that the perception of "outstanding" is relative to ones breadth of experience. For example, I believed my 5MP Axis E33 was outstanding, until I purchased a 3MP Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I. I am now unsatisfied with the E33's performance and I wish I'd purchased two DS-2CD2032-I cameras instead of one E33. Unfortunately my funds are limited and, as a result, my breadth of experience is somewhat limited.
  15. Nice photographs BTW. Thanks for taking the time to do it right.
  16. How about something like this? Mount a piece of CCA or plastic 2x6 to it and mount your camera to the 2x6. I purchased one at Home Depot store for $4.75 but I haven't tried using it as a camera mount yet... Or this for $2.37... http://www.homedepot.com/p/Oz-Post-Steel-2-Wood-Fence-Bracket-WAP-OZ-50110/204675163
  17. Hmmm...have I not seen this post elsewhere? Send me $2,500.00 and I send you what you need. Next.
  18. The only problem with this method that I observed is...it ain't pretty...and it's gonna take MaxIconic ability and experience to pull it off. Other than that...wow...GREAT work fellas. It's documented over yonder.
