  1. My name is Jason Schoon, and I am pretty much what you call an electronicsfreak. I have been messing with electronics since I was old enough to pick up a screwdriver lol. My hobbies include computer building/repair, car/home audio/video, video editing(though I am no professional at it lol), gaming, actual electronics, music, reading, and finding better ways to make my own buffalo wings LOL. I am 31 and live in the United States. Anything else you wish to know, just ask.
  2. I have recently come across some security cameras that were given away with a lot of stuff including computers. I have noticed everyone of them use 24vs and are bnc output for video. I would like to setup a few of these around my house and run them into my computer. I custom build my machines so I have no problem adding things if needed. I am new to using these, so what I am wondering what would be the cheapest way to go about powering these cameras, and what software would you recommend, preferably open source, for monitoring? Also, is there a way to convert these from bnc to possibly svideo, or any other form, that is more common on capture cards? Also anything else you might want to recommend, please let me know. I apologize if any of my questions sound naive or ignorant, as I am new to this type of thing, but willing to learn. I have a few of each of these models, but the models are Panasonic wv-cp244 Ganz ych-03a Thank you for your time, Jason Schoon
