  1. Sams Club has a deal posted now with the same NVR for $699. http://www.samsclub.com/sams/qsee-8x4-720p-ip-secrty-dvr-bullt-cam/prod10700191.ip?navAction=
  2. Ive seen several posts where people have tried the 3.6mm with my camera, but has anyone tried the 2.8mm? Any shots available?
  3. How much difference is there between these two F stops in a real world environment? Also, will I really notice a difference between 2.8mm and 3.6mm in a QCN7001B? Im referring to these two lenses from M12. http://www.m12lenses.com/2-8mm-F2-0-Mega-Pixel-CCTV-Board-Lens-p/pt-02820mp.htm http://www.m12lenses.com/3-6mm-F1-8-Mega-Pixel-CCTV-Board-Lens-p/pt-03618mp.htm
  4. If tried both types of CAT5, pre-made and making my own. If I plug the cameras directly into the NVR's POE block using the same good CAT5, they are just fine. Ive got other POE devices that are powered just fine on my switch. Ive also tried 2 other POE switches, Netgear as well, and the cameras reboot nonstop on those as well.
  5. Here is logging information from my switch. You can see the ports going down, then up, then down... <5> Apr 19 02:50:09 10.0.0.94-1 TRAPMGR[276048136]: traputil.c(664) 12 %% Link Up: Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 1 <6> Apr 19 02:50:09 10.0.0.94-1 UNKN[747715096]: dot1s_sm.c(6343) 11 %% port 1 is going to forwarding state <5> Apr 19 02:50:08 10.0.0.94-1 TRAPMGR[276048136]: traputil.c(664) 10 %% Link Up: Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 2 <6> Apr 19 02:50:08 10.0.0.94-1 UNKN[747715096]: dot1s_sm.c(6343) 9 %% port 2 is going to forwarding state <5> Apr 19 02:50:07 10.0.0.94-1 TRAPMGR[276048136]: traputil.c(664) 8 %% Link Down: Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 1 <5> Apr 19 02:50:06 10.0.0.94-1 TRAPMGR[276048136]: traputil.c(664) 7 %% Link Down: Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 2 <5> Apr 19 02:49:48 10.0.0.94-1 TRAPMGR[276048136]: traputil.c(664) 6 %% Link Up: Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 1 <6> Apr 19 02:49:48 10.0.0.94-1 UNKN[747715096]: dot1s_sm.c(6343) 5 %% port 1 is going to forwarding state <5> Apr 19 02:49:47 10.0.0.94-1 TRAPMGR[276048136]: traputil.c(664) 4 %% Link Up: Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 2 <6> Apr 19 02:49:47 10.0.0.94-1 UNKN[747715096]: dot1s_sm.c(6343) 3 %% port 2 is going to forwarding state <5> Apr 19 02:49:45 10.0.0.94-1 TRAPMGR[276048136]: traputil.c(664) 2 %% Link Down: Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 1 <5> Apr 19 02:49:45 10.0.0.94-1 TRAPMGR[276048136]: traputil.c(664) 1 %% Link Down: Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 2 Here is the port trap info: 0 0 days 21:24:10 Link Up: Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 1 1 0 days 21:24:09 Link Up: Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 2 2 0 days 21:24:08 Link Down: Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 1 3 0 days 21:24:07 Link Down: Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 2 4 0 days 21:23:49 Link Up: Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 1 5 0 days 21:23:48 Link Up: Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 2 6 0 days 21:23:46 Link Down: Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 1 7 0 days 21:23:46 Link Down: Unit: 1 Slot: 0 Port: 2
  6. Ok lets try a different angle, have any of you used a POE switch that did not work? Or it had settings that you had to adjust in order for the POE camera to work properly?
  7. Good info! I was just starting down this road 2 days ago, you've done my work for me!

  9. Those of you with the Sams Club or Costco Q-See Bundle, specifically with the QCN7001B bullet cams, have any of you had them reboot on you every 2 minutes or so? They are statically assigned on my network and powered by a Netgear FSM7328PS switch. Additional info, when plugged directly into the QC808 NVR POE block, they remain up and stable. The screenshot shows the camera's on ports 1 and 2. They are getting sufficient power.
  10. From what Ive read and heard, the Costco Q-SEE cams only work with Q-SEE nvr's. For your sake, I hope Im wrong.

    Mounting Dahau HFW2100

How about toggle bolts? Drill holes large enough through the soffit for the spreader piece to fit through, then tighten down?
  12. So you are the reason they only have 1 left in stock! Ive emailed them to see when they will get more in. Plan on purchasing 4.
  13. Your first link is an analog cam, the second link is to their IP cam.
  14. I should post the right model number, as this one is the full kit. FLC430 http://www.aifittings.com/catalog/communications/cam-box-kit-for-installations-of-a-security-camera/FLC430
  15. Specifically do any of you use them on outdoor metal/plastic soffit? http://www.aifittings.com/catalog/specialty-boxes/cam-light-box-for-suspended-ceilings/FL430 http://www.aifittings.com/products/spec-sheets/FL430.pdf
