    Cameras in Elevator

Make sure everything is written clearly in writing. If something does not work you will have the elevator company saying its the CCTV contractors fault or the opposite. Many Elevator companies do not have experience installating CCTV. I would also think of the future, will you be installing Access Control, new intercoms or those Advertisement screens inside your elevators anytime soon, if so now would be the time to do it.

    any esthetic enclosures out there?

Just paint the best looking housing to match the exterior of your building.
  3. We have had alot of problems with cams we installed in elevators, it eventually turned out that the elevator contractor used the wrong type of cable. I have also read that the location the cams/power are grounded can cause interference.
  4. We have a stationary camera that is in the ideal location for a PTZ camera. Is any additional wiring required for a PTZ versus regular cam? Thanks for any info

Changing from regular camera to a PTZ

So basically there is no cost savings in changing from a regular cam to PTZ versus just installing a PTZ in a location that never had a camera. I am just trying to get the most bang for my buck
  6. Its CCURE, the panel is one level below, definately not more than 500ft. nothing in the event log just card rejected, misread. There is another card reader right next to this one and it works fine. People get a card reject then use it again and it works fine.

    Under vehical inspection system

We were ready to install the speed bump cameras however we found that when the vehicle descended (if you want to call it that) it went to fast and was difficult to see. Too bad because besides that it was great.

Police - Need help with video Capture

The DVR Systems I am familar with have a program that can be attatched to the CD automatically so a third party can view the video. We also have the option of exporting to .avi. Some companies have the view programs available on their websites for download.
