dahua hfw2100 night vision
jmcu replied to ayryq's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I did the smacking, magnet, shaking to get my IR filter unstuck on my cam about 2 months ago. It worked great. About 2 weeks ago, I have no night vision. Tried to free it up again and couldn't get it to come back on. It wasn't a 2100, but same issue... -
Why wouldn't you get their ES-1100-16P, is there a reason to use two 8's?

Veracity has some nice extenders http://www.veracityglobal.com/products/ethernet-and-poe-extension.aspx They require POE but if the camera does not take it, they have a lite that doesn't send POE to the camera that you use on the last run. They claim they can go up to 2 KM with the Max. But they are not cheap...

Connecting a mic to Dahua speed dome PTZ
jmcu replied to jmcu's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Thanks.. So I would need a mic with a bare lead to hook to the camera's audio in, only ? What would the out be for, speaker ? -
Hi, Does anyone have any info on hooking up a mic to a SD6982A-HN PTZ cam ? I have a mic that is hooked up direct to my dahua hybrid dvr but it can only go to the audio in - on ch 1-4. Being a hybrid my ip starts at ch 9. Can I hook up a mic to the ptz so it comes over the ip camera via channel 9 ? Do I only supply the cam the input and it comes in via cat 5 ? The cam has white-in, blk- gnd and red- out. No 5.5mm x 2.1mm plug I have a mic with rca plug, I assume I will have to supply power to it as I am now. http://www.cctvcamerapros.com/Audio-Surveillance-Microphone-p/mic-cctv-02.htm Different type of mic needed? Any info would be a great help.. Thanks

How about compairing them to Hikvision cameras, are they all pretty close to each other ? ( image, quality, night time image)

I set up my solar cams for 12v and 1 -150Ah battery with a 100w solar panel. I powered 2 cams with IR and a mic. They lasted about 4 days before the cameras didn't have enough power to run. They would come back on about noon. There is a tight tolerance for the 12v camera to power up. At 11.6v I couldn't power the cams. I added another 150Ah battery and the cameras have been going non stop even with a week of rain. Keep in mind the solar panel will charge even on a rainy / cloudy day, just not as much output. The controller shuts power off to the batteries at 13.6v, no mater what time of day. As they said, the less power draw the better. Unless you have a bunch of batteries. Windy nation has some of the best prices I found for quality monocrystalline off grid solar kits.

Depends on what kind of equipment you want to use.. I bought my stuff at empire security cameras. You have to buy A La Carte, I don't think he has bundled systems but the price's were better and Kyle is a great help.

I set up 2 Sony Effio-P cameras and a mic in the woods behind my house powered by a 100 watt solar panel. Not much crime here but lots of action.... Sorry for the crappy volume. cf9djUNQWwk

It wasn't a issue about how to get power out to the cameras. I have AC running to my well house close by. It was more about me wanting to play around with the solar side of the project and learn something new.

I have this camera powered by a 12v battery mounted to a tree. RG6 back to the DVR You can see the tearing on the top of the vid and lines in the middle. The night time vid (12sec in) is not as bad, but it is still there. I get a occasional vertical humbar that shows at night, but not all the time. I have changed out the fittings several times. I have the same camera right next to this one that has no issues at all. Do you think it is a ground loop, connection or camera problem ? Thanks.. DT8TasTO18c

Looks like it was a moisture problem. I undid the connection and there was a little water. I can't believe it did with all the tape I had on it. My connectors have the center pin that the RG6 goes in to. I am not very impressed with the way they compress. About 1 out of 4 make a good connection. Maybe I should try the ones without the center pin... I will give those boots a try... Thanks

All my connections are taped off pretty good. I changed them all out several times as well.

Good question... My "camera right next to this one" is about 4' away and I wasn't smart enough to leave enough power line to reach it before I buried it. I will go and try to swap them around and see what happens..

Hi, Can you assign the output display on a DVR DH0804 HF-U-E so that the 4 camera view is...ex. cam 1 2 3 9 It is a hybrid DVR, CH. 1-8 analog, 9-16 IP. I have 3 analog and 1 ip camera that I would like to view all on 1 screen, in the 4 camera view. I know I can set the tour to cycle, but wanting to know if I can set the assigned display to any channel. Like you can do in PSS or Web Service, move whatever cam you want to any display window. I have not been able to find any settings to do it. Thanks

When I try to set the Pic Path or REC Path on the Web Service I get a error " Failed to Set " I am logged in as admin if that matters. Is there a way to set the path? Also I see people using Web Service 3.0. Is that something that needs to be in the firmware to use or just a download. My DVR shows 2.1.7.72 Thanks
